gentlemen i suppose most people have no idea what pantech (sky vega ) is capable of. let me tell you the real worth of sky vega. its the real deal understand:
--- they are secong largest company of korea (below samsung and above lg)
--- they only release low specification versions in international market under the name of pantech not sky vega (huge luck for samsung and apple)
--- sky vega series is only released in korea that is why they only come used in pakistan and no dealer support in pakistan or elsewhere
--- they released their 720p display mobile phones in 2010 whereas apple, samsung etc launched in 2012 (2 years gap)
--- samsung fuckers advertise air gestures of galaxy S4 alot
--- sky phones have the same technology since 2010. after sky a800s every sky model has this. ask the ones who use sky mobiles (3 years ahead of samsung)
--- recently samsung bought shares in sky mobiles and offcourse big companies don't buy shares without a reason
--- latest sky 870 (vega iron) models have in-cell touch display which apple was going to use in iphone 5S which is yet to be relased but rumour is they have cancelled the plan. however you can see sky is again the first in the world. also check the screen scratch test of this phone.
--- sky vega 870 is also bezel free (meaning edge to edge display). therefore, it is the most beautiful phone in the world (again the first one in the world)
--- sky model 860s has little touch sensor at the back below camera for ultimate one-hand experience even while driving etc (no other company has released this funtionality in the world)
--- sky vega also use qualcomm processors and not chinese
--- their benchmarks are same (or better) as that of samsung etc.
--- they are above lg (a big company) in korea

UPDATE:- Pantech did it once again. smartphone with snapdragon 800 processor and FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION.... again becoming the first company to give this functionality...

Now you should know that sky vega is far ahead of samsung, apple, lg, htc etc and not chinese understand
everything that these stupid samsung, htc release is already released in sky vega phone

If what ever you said is true then either owner are truly stupid or else there are some issues with their phone...else Vega would have dominated the world years before and leaving Samsung just like what Nokia is today..

pantech is an international company and they do release sets outside korea like pantech brust and etc.i have used a couple of their set including the vega r3 850 the only set i liked in their lineup so for.the only downside was it had a crap camera realy bad one. low light performance was zero and even though it was 13 mp, it lacked detail and too much noise, everything else was great. also most pantech sets have backlight bleeding issue either from bottom or from top its not that big of an issue but its their. and the third and last flaw that i notice and its in almost all pantech i used was the ear piece had low quality voice while making calls plus volumes r a bit on low side. the thread creator is wrong about pantech being second largest in korea its LG pantech is on third no. one killer feature that most of u people might not know is the bootloader menu in almost all pantech sets i used expect some old one. the best bootload menu i seen so for it tell u if set is rooted or not and gives u 4 options 1 recovery 2 fastboot 3 and pdl or something i dont remember exactly. and a reboot.its a great thing to had if u r in to custom roms and mods. i can vouch that no other manufactures use similar menu type bootloader. i think not sure though and its stock bootloader not cracked one.

i have mentioned in the first line that company name is pantech. i know sky vega is their series. i have used sky vega as their name so that people can understand.. and secondly their cell phones are themselves examples of what i said is true. just check their release dates. i have not mentioned anything about cameras. their performance maybe not be good as apple, samsung etc. but i had an experiment with it. use camera zoomfx app and use automatic flash. sky default app does not sync flash with camera shutter but it is perfectly synced in camera zoom fx and have very good images in low light with flash. just keep the flash AUTOMATIC not always on. and their normal light function is very good not like qmobiles etc. according to Gartner, pantech was second best selling company in korea in 2012. I am talking about korea. yes overall LG is above pantech as they cover many regions.

AND FINALLY, I AM NOT GOING TO SELL ANY PANTECH MOBILE. I HAD ONE, I HAVE GIVEN IT TO MY BROTHER AND NOW I AM GOING TO BUY VEGA 850. and i also recommend pantech to everyone who is going to buy used mobile phones. yes new ones have warranty whereas pantech do not have. so it is big advantage.

visit Pantech USA | Pantech Mobile - A New Way To Stay Connected... and do not open the site with hotspot or you will be directed to their american site. in the bottom right corner their is a drop down menu where you can select the series (sky vega or pantech), year of release and cell phone model. a800s was the first phone with 720p display and air gestures same as in samsung galaxy s4. it was released in 2010. select sky vega from the series not pantech. i have written in my thread that pantech is for international market and they are all low spec phones. where sky vega series are what i am talking about. thankyou

Flash cannot compensate for lack of good imagiing sensor. I was nog talking about flash sync issue pantech use lower quaitly image sensor. And i did took alot of pics with used so many apps. Still it sucked.

most of us get to use the used sky mobiles. i got a good piece a800s and its standby battery was 2 days and 1 day with normal use. i was given bad piece for 12500. i returned it and shop keeper gave me an excellent piece for 15000. spend good money and then you will get a better piece. and their camera result is not bad and also low light is fine. not good as samsung, apple but quite better than qmobiles. i do not have it with me otherwise i promise when i will get my mobile back, i will send you its samples. they are quite good. they do not sound good on paper, they are good. otherwise they would not have been the 2nd best in korea last year.. it is not about patent. proof is in front of you when they release every technology ahead of others. so do not talk about patents. this patent issue is all because of apple when they started to get jealous of samsung success. otherwise before that there was no patent issue. its like you make a car and ban others from making a car. this patent or whatever sucks and is only there because of this apple.

I agree. I've been using sky Vega for the past two years approximately. No match at all with other phones. Awesome phones for awesome price.

Pantech is a badass company. My dad still has his old SLRs which are in somewhat functioning condition, and also the lenses (whose quality is better than Nikon's lenses of today's)...

Pantech is awesome.

But I am not sure about their phones.
