Pta 10/sim is only for franchises...... Main service center does it free. Even zong complaint wala said that main service center does it for free
There is no mention which specifies its only for franchises. If i am mistaken, please find me a source so i can correct myself.

Thanks

My cousin told me he's working in ZONG, he said only 3rd party franchises are charging 10rs/sim not official service centers.

For the sake of info, Zong launched a mobile van service for SIM reverification and its also not charging 10rs/sim.

Help me out a bit guys i just knew that SIM that i have been using for i don't for forever is not on the name i thought it had been.. My Cousin's.

A friend of mine had just verified its ZONG(Sim) which was on his uncle's name, And now its ownership had been transfered to him after he verified also i saw the Sms he got.
I asked some Easyload guy who was also verifying Sims, He told me only Telenor,Jazz and Zong has this ownership transfer policy maybe you'll have to go to Warid franchies to get it on you're name. *Piece of pie*
I don't think that's a case maybe i have to show them some last owner CNIC, Which i have no idea who that is...
Tell me its like a Easyload dude told me a Piece of pie or i'll really be a problem for me if my number got blocked.

PS: I have WARID *SIM*

There used to be a number on which you could send a text and it replied you with the name and CNIC of the person who registered the sim. I remember doing it on my Warid sim, but that was like 3 or so years ago. If memory serves me right, it was 668 or 669, or something like that. Try to find out, and perhaps you would know the guy who owns the sim.

kevn i can't say about other networks but i transferred(which also include biometrics verification) my Mother's Telenor SIM to my name and they didn't ask anything about the previous owner.
My suggestion is to go to the service center and ask about it, Retailer don't know shit. When you go take the SIM with you because they will need a verification SMS which will come in the process while changing the ownership.

No you send your NIC number to 668 and reply will tell you how and which sims are registered on that NIC number. Names are not disclosed like this

Sorry my bad. That was a long time ago, I couldn't remember the number. It is 667 as manigamer said. Not sure if that service is still active.

Not sure if it's in the FAQs or not, but my mother has a Warid SIM, don't want Warid anymore and want the SIM to be deactivated, if I DON'T verify the biometric thing, the SIM will automatically be removed from my mother's ownership right? As in it will no longer show up when I send a text to 668?

Switching to Mobilink.

Yes it will be blocked after the deadline but they will recycle it and make it available for sale. So Make sure no one contact your mother on this number.

see told ya this sh*t is their fault... it was their mistake or whatever they are now just making us make round trips and even pay these extra charges.... it was a trouble to go there and get in line and do this verification but pay aswell !
Well i never said it wasn't their mistake. I just implied 'we can't do anything about it', since it was imposed by PTA.
