What if your finger prints are faded? Like most of the old people are complaining about
My father went through similar scenario, which is why none of his SIMs are verified, for now. And its been almost a month.
Basically he had to visit NADRA Center, and order a New CNIC.
His finger print wasn't being shown when scanned through that Biometric machine. However we noticed that if he did that with a "Wet Thumb", the system would identify it correctly.
A LOT of such cases are being reported, so we aren't the only one. You can confirm that from either service center, or a NADRA center.
Just got verified my 3 ufone, 3 zong and 2 mobilink sims of me and my family members. Ufone had a long line even at 11am today but i was lucky to go in straight and verified my original number with instructions that after 24 hours my other number will be verified through sms and just sms yes to it.
I then went to mobilink and verification line was small. The guy even came up to my car to verify my mom finger print.
At zong line was small. Got my sims verified one at a time and got one sms 3 min later for another sim, for which i replied with Y and 2seconds latter it was varified too.
If you go to main service center then there r NO charges of Rs 10/sim figerprint verification.
Same with mobilink main service center, NO charges for sim biometric.
At zong the guy standing outside the Zong service center at gulberg lahore liberty roundabout charged 10/sim which he should not be charging. I forwaded a complaint through helpline. Lets see.
Rs.10 per SIM is ordered by PTA. You can't do anything about it. If you are not charged, consider yourself lucky, or maybe try asking that specific service center the reason they aren't charging.
