But will it even comes to the west?
A new Yakuza game is in the works according to this week's issue of Japanese game magazine Famitsu. The game's development is confirmed in an interview with series supervisor Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Masayoshi Yokoyama.
Information from the interview has not been publicized yet but it is said to talk about the game's production as well as auditions for hostesses featured in the game.
The more important question for the western audience is whether the game will actually release outside of Japan. The last game to release in the west is Yakuza 4 for the PlayStation 3. Its latest entry in the main series is Yakuza 5 for PS3 but released only in Japan. Yakuza: Ishin, a spin-off title, released for PS3 and PS4 on February 22, 2014, again only for Japan.
For the Yakuza fans out there, maybe it's that time again to tell Sega to continue the series in the west. More information about the new game is expected later this week.
