Keiji Inafune disses Clover | 10 Mar 2007 This is what Keiji Inafune (Capcom employee since 20 years and responsible for the sucess of games like Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, Lost Planet, Mega Man and Onimusha) had to say about the recently closed Clover Studios. Part of the EX clover team founded "SEEDS" while the other part moved over to Resident Evil 5's development department.
"Perhaps I might get into trouble if I say this in front of people from the mass media. Games are not a work of art. It's actually a product. If we think of it as a work of art, then... when we think about Picasso and Van Gogh's paintings, the end result is beauty, so it doesn't matter if you sell it or not. However for games, it's a product. It is a commodity. The producer has to think about that."
Keiji Inafune at the moment works on a yet still untitled Nintendo Wii game, probably Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.
