Apparently the Wii has "a lot of horsepower under the hood". That's the good part, the bad part is he then goes on to state that they are "making full use of it". After seeing the screens of Scarface it puts the first quote into perspective

Apparently the Wii is able to do shaders and judging by what the guy said it doesn't sound like they are managed not too differently from the XBox (I'm not tech savvy so excuse my lack of vocabulary).
"We've overhauled our graphics engine to get the most out of the console by updating all of the shaders responsible for rendering the environment, vehicle, and characters. In many ways Scarface looks sharper on the Wii than it does on the PS2 and Xbox."
