AOA,

I am the student of FSc education system. So my question is that will Aga Khan university accept SAT 2 scores from a local student? And if yes, will it make my chances of getting selected any better if I have good enough scores?

Also should I be giving the subject tests on May 2, 2015 or June 6, 2015? If I don't do very well in the May tests will I be able to give them again in June?

Help would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

I don't know nothing about Aga Khan, but yes. You can give the tests again and again every month if you can pay for them.

As far as I know, there's always less competition on SAT seats cause many local students don't know about the tests or don't bother to give them.

That's great! so should I give the May or June test considering that i will have to prepare for them from scratch and also my Federal Board papers might be in May as well?

Or should i just give them both?

You should have given them in December last year.
Anyway, I'd say you give it in May first. That way if you don't get a decent score, you can try again in June. Agar sirf June mein diya, tou you won't have a second chance.

The real trick in getting a good SAT score is knowing how to attempt the questions. There's negative marking too, so I suggest you talk to someone who's recently given the tests and ask him how to go about it.

I beg to differ, almost all the students in my school ,A-level students that is,are giving SAT so that they get exempt from the entrance exam .

To OP.If you're an Fsc student,I would suggest you to not go for SAT because the entrance exam will be based on the books you studied from.Usually it's A'levels students who do it because most of the stuff they studied in A'levels in that particular way comes in SAT2 . and AFAIK university who require SAT1 have a high requirement of 1800 .AFAIK in SAT2,if you get above 2100~2000 then you're pretty much exempt from the entrance exam.Head over to college board and try one paper and see if it's any good . You should give it a shot ,shot as in try some past papers nd see where you stand . If you're able to perform quite well then go ahead .

You're right but how would I know that I got a decent score or not? Since Result of May test will come on May 21st and the last date for June test registration is May 8th??

Yeah, loads of A level students give SAT Tests but they do that to go abroad. Believe me, there's very little competition on SAT seats in Pakistan. Atleast in engineering unis.

university who require SAT1 have a high requirement of 1800.
Dude since when is 1800 a 'high requirement'?

Bro, you can't do anything about that. If that's the case then I think you should decide yourself about when to give it. No sense in registering for both.

But if I do register for both simultaneously wont that give me a slight edge? Sine I'll get familiar with the test in May and then nail the test in June. Also how long does it take for the test to arrive at the university after announcement of sat 2 result? i.e how long will it take for the uni to get the test results in Pakistan?

It may appear to be their primary reason,i.e to go abroad, but their primary reason to be exempted from entrance exam . because if they really wanted to go abroad, they would have given IELTS/TOEFL as well . From the students in my class who have given SAT and want to go abroad, nobody of them have given any English Proficiency test .

and for the high requirement thing,SAT1 is the word in question here .

Students who have done A'levels don't need any English proficiency test for UK and USA. I have numerous friends who're doing their bachelors from USA who didn't give any English Test besides SAT 1.

I dunno but imo 1800 in SAT 1 isn't a high score. I got 1820 with out actually studying much, I have a friend who got 1920 without studying either and another friend who got 2010 after taking tuitions.

USA is a different story .I didn't bother with applying to USA unis because it's ridiculously expensive over there so I have no idea about criteria and all but atleast for other countries, they do require English Proficiency .

We aren't talking about whether you applied to USA or not. All I know is when I was applying to universities last year, 80% of the students who gave SAT gave it to apply abroad. That's all I know. The trend may have changed in a year but I highly doubt it.

Ofcourse everybody wants to go abroad to study but it's not going to happen with only sat . Students in my class think that if they are going to sit down and play ludo, they will get an admission in USA because they believe some Alladin ka chiragh will do it for them . And when I told them about the offer I got ,they were like really  omg and all .I really don't get the students here . They want to go abroad but they are too lazy to do their research.God save those countries from these kind of students.

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
