Hey everyone,

I've bought a new a laptop a weak ago and today I accidentally spilled two small drops of Elfy on top of it (back of the screen) while fixing something besides it. I need urgent help on how to remove it ASAP.

Will be anxiously waiting for a reply,
Regards.

I have an HP 15-R204NE Notebook.

Depends on the material on which the "Elfy" was spilled. If it's metal, go ahead and clean it off with nailpolish remover or acetone. If it's plastic, you could still try cleaning it off with acetone or nailpolish remover but there's a chance of the plastic being disfigured/damaged, if you allow the solvents to stay in contact with the plastic for a prolonged time.

I've tried with nailpolish remover but it came to no avail.
How about Alcohol Swabs? Or anything else which is specifically made to remove things like Elfy or any other bonding material without damaging/decolorising?

I doubt alcohol swabs will help in this situation. You probably didn't leave the nailpolish remover on long enough. I'm just guessing here. Another thing people have suggested doing is to scrape it off with something harder than the glue, but softer than the metal, like a popsicle stick, or a plastic knife. Again, try all these at your own risk.

Sandpaper will work but you will have to be extremely careful.
It might do more harm than good.
Well, I'm better off keeping it the way it is rather than trying that out since it's brand new. Better safe than sorry.

Honestly, people need to add some more logic on developing a formula that could wipe this stuff off of things too the same way it bonds to something. Just doesn't make any sense.
