Haha. I thought Star Wars Kinect did a pretty 'good' job of parody for the franchise. A little too good for the liking of fans.

In all fairness, though, I would look forward to another Red Dead game or a totally new IP by Rockstar Games.

Have people even played RDR? How are you demanding a sequel considering its ending left no room for a direct sequel, more of a new game but in the same universe.

I am sure this one is GTA V but a new RDR or new IP from Rockstar is also inevitable at some point.

I know, but it won't be a direct sequel as the protagonist will change. To better put it in words, we can say that it will be like a new GTA, each one of them have new protagonist and hence new story. They are not directly related to each other.

I do want one such game though, loved the first one.

That's mainly because Jack Marston was not allowed any kind of development over the period. Who knows, maybe they can conjure something special similar to what they did with John in the first. Key is to make room for character development and do it well, makes the worst looking protagonists shine (something Ubisoft clearly missed with Connor in Assassin's Creed 3).

Hence the term 'Red Dead game' was used. I don't know if you are aware of an old project they took over by the name Red Dead Revolver but that goes to show how Red Dead Redemption needed no prequel to get established. As you rightly pointed out, another Red Dead game could follow the same tradition with a fresh story to tell in pretty much the same universe.

[MENTION=25861]Hassan Aftab[/MENTION] : When we play as Jack, the year is 1914. I would want R* to visit an earlier period of the Wild West. The slow death of the wild west was portrayed perfectly in my opinion and I think they need to go back in time. A new protagonist would be great.

Mafia III was supposed to be in development. And with the closing of 2k Czech, the project is rumored to have been shifted to the U.S

Take Two is the parent company. And both Rockstar and 2k Czech were reported to have worked closely together on GTA V. Who knows......maybe the soon-to-be-announced title may not be an original R* title at all.

But the chances are slim. R* may not jump from one open-world game to another in rapid succession. Bully, Agent, Manhunt are all strong possibilities.
