omair here

i got a PC with 1.6 Dual Core , 1GB RAM , 80GB HDD and a PCI-e Slot - - - - - - > i got Rs 15,000 - - - - - - - > wat should i do to make my PC gud for gaming - - - - - - > i dont wana change my PC just upgrade it

thanks
get 1gb ram in 1500
and e6300 in 7000
and 4670 in 6000
and you are good to go with games
but wait when you sell this processor a 3k money will add in 15k means 18k
so in 9k get gts250 or 4770 instead of 4670

GTS250 if you can find that used in 9K, Otherwise 4770 will be good..

^ hmm good budget for a gaming pc

go for this setup

processor-------------core i5-750---------------------18300-----czone
mobo -----------------asus p7p55d--------------------15200-----czone
ram--------------------kingston ddr3 2gb-1333-------4750------galaxy
hard disk--------------wd green 640gb----------------5800------czone
gpu--------------------HIS 5770------------------------17000-----galaxy
casing-----------------cm gladiator 600---------------6500-------galaxy
psu--------------------cooler master 600watt--------5300-------galaxy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
total-----------------------------------------------------72850
-----------------------------------------------------------------
i think this rig is best for you but first of all you are not in lahore or karachi so it is difficult for you to find the galaxy and czone dealer in isl but contact wil isl guys like janasheen thedarkdisicple and voodoo
and first search for a corsair psu if it is not available then get cm600
corsair 400watt is enough for your need bcz 5770 does not need much power
and for casing gladitor is better but if you does not like its shape then check other chassis from galaxy or czone

Muaaz you should go to Media Intl. ISD they have all the products galaxy has.
There address is Mezzanine Floor, NHSP Plaza, Block 83, Fazal-e-Haq Road, Blue Area.

Also the rig which sunny suggested you should go with that one but increase the ram to 4gb it will go out of your budget but 4gb is worth it.

i think seagate baracuda will be better option for hdd
and corsair 400 watt psu should be the top preference, otherwise cm is fine aswell
and how about asus ta-m1 chasis....its 2.5k cheaper and quit nice aswell!!

Check the MaxxMem benchmark in Hardware Enthusiast sub-forum. Usman bhai aka Voodoo posted results of his Kingston ram & it was working better than my Dominator. I simply couldn't tighten the timings while the Kingston one did.
So its best bang for buck.

good enough. id suggest 4 gb ram too, especially with win7. if you cant exceed 70k, look for something like a used GTX260 or a 4870, save cash there and get 4 gigs of ram. What res will you be gaming on btw?

And yes, let me know if you need any help with the vendors here and such.

thanx,,,,P7P55D is to go then.....one last question....is it worth upgrading to i5, how fast is it comparing my E6420....Are there any other CPU's coming this or next month resulting the current prices to drop? Is my 600W CM PSU is enough to handle the overall power when i get a i5 IA :)?
