Rate Avatars and Sigs

its okay for first timer but not properly done, your render is just floating there. color combination looks nice. 3/10ok i've been watching this thread for long time now...
but didn't have any sig to show...
now i've made my own...so if u big guys could rate it...
i hope it's not that bad...

how can i make it complex...?
i have no idea...
may be some times simple things r much better then complex ones...

BTW...i made it with gimp...
used a new fire brush to create that fire effect...

DAMN effing AWESOME ! 9.5/10 [that is, if you didn't follow any tut =) ]

only thing that is bothering me a bit is text place
[google rule of third, it'll help you ] ohh, and keep the font as simple as possible in start =)

Well the background is little plain and flat. I suggest you copy render multiple times and cover your sig with it. Then use Filters like Gaussian Blur or Radial Blur to fill your sig's background. I usually end up with good background with this technique
For the time I'll rate it 5/10 as you are new.
Also the render isn't blending with background well. Try to blend it to give it a natural effect.

, was this your first attempt at photoshop or first attempt at sig making but you are a pro with PS. i think you followed a tut, among other things i can see the pixelate filter being used and probably some cloud filters as well. 8/10 and i agree with Mas007 text placement is a bit odd but not bad. and no i didn't follow any tutorial ....too lazy for that i don't even hv got a proper photoshop ...got a portable version which crashes frequently while applying effects :gun: ... just went through this thread and got the idea ...and thnx for the pro tip man i will definitely google that rule of third thingy and correct the txt ....thnx bro ...well this was my first attempt for sig .. i am not a pro by any means but i use ps frequently to touch up my cam pics ....yea i TRIED to use a pixelate filterHonestly who did you rip....j/k
clouds effect is just an image dissolved in background ...txt placement is in progress ..:salute:

well the only problem I have is re sizing and re scaling full sized wallpapers into a 130 x 450 box...its really hard and most pics dont end up right...any tips??
its like in this sig I have the full face of cole with more bolts but just couldnt scale it down to fit everything within it ...plus im having difficulties cropping images from other wallpapers properly so that I can add them to an abstract background...any tips man?
