Rage with AMD card

i've been trying to get Rage running for he last whole day and i just can't
right after the first video of asteroid hitting the earth the framerate drops to 1 fps :/
so has anyone been successful in running rage with and amd card? please let me know how

p.s. i installed amd catalyst 12.6 but that was of no use.

i don't think my system lacks in anything but the it is the that game had pretty messed up support for amd cards
