Questions about WorldCall Broadband Internet

I have been thinking about getting WorldCall Broadband Internet (4 Mbps) package after hearing a lot of bad reviews about PTCL Internet service in my area.

  • Will WorldCall allow me to setup a router system in my home? As of now, with my Connect cable internet, I plug the wire into a router and use multiple devices on it. Will this be allowed with WorldCall?
  • How is their customer service? I mean, if the internet goes down and I call them, will have to deal with a lot of bullshit?
  • Download speeds? If anyone has any experience, I'd like to know about their download speeds and their stability.
  • Is it truly unlimited? None of that "fair usage policy", in other words.

- Told you.
- Customer service is definitely better than PTCL. I never encountered any problems with WorldCall, other than those occasional hiccups where it suddenly disconnects and connects back a minute later. Having said that, once my coaxial cable got cut, they finally came down and put a new cable in place after I called em up about 5-6 times in ~10 days.
- Download speeds are constant for most of the time, ~90-95% of what the theoretical speeds should be, no matter how much the load or what the time is.
- Truly unlimited.

Yes a router will work but you can also use a simple Rs. 600 switch and it'll work. WC automatically assigns multiple public IPs to all the devices you connect.

Customer service works like this: Their call center personnel do one thing and one thing only - they take down complaints and forward them to their technicians. The technicians call you back a few times and then if need be they will visit your home. It takes 2-3 days from the time of complaint to the time they come to your place.

More or less as advertised.

Yes unlimited.

Another thing you should know is about the uptime. How long is the connection up and available for use? WorldCall does suffer from downtime. At least once a day for a 1-15 minutes the connection will not work.
