Salam guys, i m deciding to move to connect.net from my shitty PTCL,but i have a couple of questions for connect.net.If anyone using it, please answer these questions:
What are the charges of 1.5 mbps package?
Do they give internet in all parts in karachi (BTW, I live in dastagir soceity.)
Are they good, i mean their service is good?
How they connect internet....only wire or with a modem?
Is IP static?
They have a website where they give free full games,are they working?

If anyone is using it, please comment and tell your personal experience.

I am using connects 512 mbps package which is about Rs.600 per month. don't know the price of 1.5 mbps but the price of 1 mbps in my area is Rs.950. i think the price of 1.5mbps would be 1200 (prices depends on area dealer)
no modem only wire.

Yes, their service is excellent. Great pings and speed. You'd also get double the downloading speed during night time and early in the morning. There's just one downside to it which also varies according to different areas, the provider in your area. You can just hope that the service provider in your area is cooperative else it becomes a workout to get your internet issues resolved.

I have been using Connect service for almost 3 years now. Charges for 1.5 mbps package varies from area to area; it's anywhere between 1000 to 1300 Rs. For availability, you can call them (check for contact details on Connect Communications). Their service is excellent, but that is not to say it's flawless. Though I have been pretty content with them. They have this "happy hours" feature during which your download speed is doubled from your normal speed. On a 1.5 mbps package, I get about 155-165 kbps normally, and during happy hours, it goes up to 290 kbps. Happy hours are from midnight to mid-afternoon. Browsing is pretty fast as well. Pings on international servers are generally in the range of 160-200, which I believe is optimal, but not that great. No, the IP is not static. They provide a twisted-pair cable to your home which you can plug into your computer and connect to the internet with their dailer, or you can plug that wire into a router (self-purchased) and use the internet on multiple devices via WiFi (Do note that they only allow multiple device usage on ConnectRed (1.5 mbps package)).


Their website -- DoDear Portal | Entertainment is Guaranteed -- is perhaps the number one reason I'm still with them. They upload too damn fast; almost unnecessarily fast. You can check out that website on a non-Connect connection, but you won't be able to download anything. Download speed goes up 7 to 10 mbps while downloading from their server.

1000-3000 depending on the quality of the wire I think.
But I'm not very sure. So better wait for confirmation.

connect itself as a isp is a fantastic company but remember that area is managed by different people not Connect Itself,
if the connection manager person is a haramkhor then BYE BYE

i had connect internet for 2 years and in last 6 months i was so fed up that i started to repair,work and see all the connection of entire area.. mujhe log cable wala sumjhney lag gai thay
then i switched to PTcl and i am happy


so all the things depends on the Person whos supervising.. if he sucks then get ready to waste ur money

How do you explain this?
Moti pin wala connecter is provided through a wire connected to a nearby pole.
You have to buy a router for converting it to WiFi. They don't provide their own router.
