PTCL being stubborn

Ok, let's start from the beginning:

I've actually to leave my computer on sleep mode at night, for at least 5 days now, including this one. It's mainly because of how I have only one hour during the night to actually use it and I don't want to copy paste a long comment I was writing nor do I want to struggle to watch a video from where I left off because I can't remember the exact time on the video when I closed it. Yes, I'm lazy, bleh.

ANYWAYS:

Today, in the morning, I actually turned on my laptop (from sleep mode), which is something I have been doing for the past 4 days to check whether it's working properly. This also means I check whether my two emulators and internet are working.

So apparently I notice my PTCL got disconnected...for some reason. I try to connect it again, and...it doesn't connect. I tried it again some more times, but it still didn't work.

Therefore I decided to put my laptop on sleep mode again- and then I turn it on, and there you go, PTCL gets connected.

Can someone explain to me why this happened? I'm going to guess it's because of putting my laptop on sleep for whole nights, but correct if I'm wrong.

When you say your PTCL got disconnected, is it the modem that disconnected from the internet or your laptop disconnected from the modem?

You need to increase DHCP lease time on your modem/router. Also see if your LAN Card is dropping into power saving mode and not waking up properly when coming out of sleep. It's most probably windows glitch.

This literally has nothing to do with PTCL in and of itself; it's a laptop issue, not an ISP problem.
