I called them yesterday but still haven't been upgraded. How long does it takes? Ptcl said 48 hours max is required for the upgrade.

LOL. It is actually an old method, that I have been using for a long while now. I am surprised that people didn't knew about it. It requires a good connection, and won't work for bad quality connection. It DEFINITELY helps with pings so have some fun online in MP. I get 3-4 bars in BF 4 MP.
Well its magical. Not only did it fix my fluctuating SNR but it works for game pings too. Titanfall is showing 160 now. Maybe its just a lucky day or ur method is behind this

i am going to get my landline number shifted to another location n then install dsl, will apply for both at same time, will go for this 8mb package it'll be on fiber, there's no copper in that area

I also tried Gmdt mode, and pings on speedtest realy got reduced.
On karachi server it was 82, now its 64.
On isb server it was 180s, now its 111ms
Though not an online player, but it would definately save my few milliseconds on surfing

So finally got my connection upgraded to 8 MB around 12:30 AM today.
Applied for the connection this Monday 10:30 AM so took around 3 days and around 6 complains reminders and 2 separate complaints on 1218 for port upgrade and to get it sorted by the exchange.
getting 1MB on IDM and around 850-870 KB on Torrents. No visible change in surfing speed or site loading just the download speed has improved.
Still a very good deal to enjoy till December and for everyone continuously asking NO this is not a Unlimited connection till December its capped at 300 GB and from Jan 1st would be reduced to 100.

Nope, I confirmed it from the CS rep while getting information for the package. The installation charges RS: 1500 are for new connections only not existing ones.
darklordmalik bhai any work around for the video stutters on twitch and other sites i think i was one of the first people to be upgraded to this 8mb thing everything is fine the stats downstream /up stream still twitch cant stream for shit in 720 videos on ign stutters etc etc . anywork around or setting i need to change to make it not stutter?
I don't know. I watched all the E3 conferences live and the stuttering has gone for me.
Gamespot = no stuttering at HD
GameTrailers = no stuttering at full HD
Twitch = It can stutter depending on traffic but usually smooth with no stutters at "Source" quality
Ustream = smooth at "Best" quality
IGN = Live streaming sucks on IGN, it was stuttering for me at 720p, but videos work fine.
Google Chrome works best for me.

In your DNS settings, change from the default to 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2. Hopefully it will help a lot

You will have to lodge a complaint for your Phone Line (PSTN) from myPTCL to get it fixed.

L LegacyGamerGuy:Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
