the slim model is better , lighter , battery time is better , go for it , u have to mod it via firmware update to run pirated games .

i have one which i wana sell anyway , its a good machine for playing light games , u will enjoy it .

Every PSP version can play iso games downloaded from torrent site
PSP's first release was PSP 1000 which was a lil fat and a slimmer version was introduced after that PSP 2000
You should get PSP 2000 which is fast because its RAM is increased frm 32mb to 64mb

AND YOU SHOULD GET MORE INFO BY LOOKING INTO PSP SECTION IF YOU WANT TO CONSIDER !
