PSP Graphics.

Salaam everyone.

I want to know that are the graphics of PSP and PS 2 the same or does PSP has superior graphics as compared to PS 2.

the PSP has more system RAM, but its GPU seems a little less efficient, or maybe its just not at that level of developelemt yet, no psp game has thus far shown any graphics above ps2 games. Although some come very close.

Portable ops uses a downgraded Subsistence engine, Crisis core is probably the prettiest PSP game yet. God of war looks a slightly downsampled God of war 1.

Umm not the same, YET.

Recently, the PSP's processor's full speed was unlocked and made available to the developers. So expect the newer (upcoming) games to have better graphics.

I'm quite satisfied with it.

well as of now i think the psp's gfx are inbetween ps1 and ps2... but since the new slim has got more cpu power in it so im hoping to see new game's with better gfx

Mani you are WRONG

Slim doesn't have more 'cpu power'. It just has more RAM. Which is only used for UMD caching as yet.

What i said in my above post is that the new firmware 'unlocks' the full clock speed of the CPU. The CPU is the same in both Phat and Slim. The clock speed is also the same.

Just the RAM is different. Roughly, 32 for the Phat and 64 for the Slim.

no u r wrong fezan yr if u have a ps2 its mean u should buy a smaller Tv.... nah.. if psp has small screen then developers engine is also of that caliber. So its dont matter how big or how small screen has just watch the Gpu and bec gpu gives all graphics.. i think psp is like a 1.5ps2 not full ps2 but new games is look better and better but i dnt think so ps2 graphics is low then psp may be psp2 can compete ps2 ................ so wait ... current psp graphics is best superb!!!
