Did you do a factory reset after flashing the firmware?

If so and if it still happens, try to get them to bring you a new modem OR buy your own VDSL2 compatible modem and configure it (if you know how) and use that instead of the crap they provide.

There are a few TPLink ones that I can remember. The TD-W9970 and the Dual Band TD-W9980.

Since I never had VDSL, I really never figured out how that VLAN crap worked. It was slightly different on ADSL.
What you should do, go to your exchange, tell them you 'reset your modem by accident' and the configuration for SmartTV was removed and now it doesn't work, they'll come back and re-do it for you.

its not a configuration problem. its firmware problem i have to downgrade to old one.

Background:

The initial firmware on these modems was buggy and caused the modem to become unresponsive after running for ~2 days and the only way to fix it was by doing a hard-restart and the cycle continued.

I've been in touch with the relevant people on this issue and they've sent me a new firmware few days back, so far my modem has been up for ~3 days (most up-time since I've gotten it) and everything's going smoothly. It seems the problem has been rectified in this firmware.

I would suggest that you factory reset the modem after upgrading the firmware and re-configure the modem so the chance of old configuration messing up things is minimized. Do share feedback and any other problems you encounter (preferably with reproducible steps).

@StrikerX @murtaza12 i am having the same issue my user gets disconnected (ppp user) 3-4 times in a day (dsl lights stays stable) restarting the modem also doesn't fix the issue it automatically connects after 30-45 mins

will installing this firmware solve my problem? my vdsl was installed on 14 march. till 19th march it was working fine after that i am getting this issue.

my h/w version is J1 which strikerX mentioned not to try on that hardware version i should skip i guess.

Only option then is to bridge your modem and use a router.

Or buy a VDSL Modem+Router combo.
