IF its below 3.56 it works without applying patches and modifying eboot but if its above 3.55 you need to modify few things

If you downloaded Mu version then did you replace param.sfo?Cause its necessary before applying fix.

U don't need to download param.sfo file. Multi-man replaces param.sfo itself, confirmed!

Hi guys i am now getting a ps3 so please gamers tell me which things should i look for as i am gonna jailbreak it.

Its frimware should be 3.55 but if its below 3.55 will it be jailbroken ?
I know above 3.55 cant be jailbroken but what about below.

Which region should i go for NTSC-J, Pal or NTSC US ?

And please tell me what other things to look for.
Any serial or etc. etc.

Iv jailbroken my ps3. I got it from Saudi Arabia. I think all that matters is the firmware version as Sony has this habit of incorporating new security modules to the newly released firmwares.
Try to find a piece from d lot before March 2011.

i m currently on fw 3.55.I know that soon a 3.56 version hack will also come out.If i jailbreak my 3.55 ps3 and in case if a 3.56 hack comes out soon, would i be able to upgrade my jailbreaked ps3 to 3.56 version?

Secondly there wont be any cfw 3.56 the hackers are now working on cfw 3.66 so better stay on 3.55 and wait for cfw 3.66 to release :/

Region doesn't matter if u have HD monitor or HDTV. If u don't have any of them then better buy a PAL region if u r interested to play games like Cricket 2010 which only comes in PAL region.

If ur firmware is below 3.55 then u have to download/install official 3.55 FW then jailbrake it bcoz it's a recommended method.

And u can't find (can't believe) firmware version on the box. U have to check it from its settings by turning on ur PS3.

Just jailbrake ur console as many people here have already jailbraked it, we r also waiting for a new hack! So don't worry about that
