Problem With Installing Adobe After Effects

Well i need some help. I have been trying to install After Effects for the past 2 days and still no luck, every time i run the setup i get this error.

I have googled a lot and tried the things that people have suggested, but nothing has worked till now.

Also i downloaded the setup files from 2 different sources to make sure that those were correct, that didn't work too.

Any kind of help here would be much appreciated.


P.S: I have Windows 7(Maybe this is the issue).

no the issue is not OS
Are u installing a fresh copy
i mean have you installed aftereffect before ?
If yes then uses these tools
Run the CS4 Clean Script = http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406241.html
Or
Adobe - Adobe CS3Clean Script = http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html
Try installing again
if installation still doesn't work then you have a corrupted setup
try download it again
and try again

I have already downloaded the setup files 2 times.

What actually happened was that i got the setup running the very first time, but it didn't complete, in the end it got corrupted. So my installation got cancelled in the middle.

That was i think the main cause of the problem, i tried those scripts, but those dont run, give me an error. So i removed everything related to after effects manually, temporary files, hidden files, registry entries. Just about everything. Still the setup wont start.

Now i am downloading the so called poratble version of CS4, maybe that would work, if that doesn't then i will try downloading the software from Adobe's Website. And if that doesn't work as well, then maybe CS3 would work

Ur software installation stops because something must have interfered with it
Have you installed AE before ?

No, this is the first time. My Installation never finishes, same thing happened with CS3, when installation was about to end, an error and said that Installation Failed, failed to install the following.

I dont know what this error is but Have you tried running the setup as Admin? "Run as Admin" command?
If that doesn't resolve it. Try downloading the latest Windows Installer for Win7.
