Home Theater

I need help regarding home theater purchase. I am looking for a setup with Dolby Atmos and HDR capability. Budget is around 100k (can stretch it provided its worth it). Currently, what I could find online that fits my budget is Onkyo HT S5805 but it doesn't have HDR capability. Onkyo 7805 and 9700 can't be found no where. It will be attached with Samsung KS8500.

1. Can someone please direct me to market/shop in Lahore where they have good variety of HTs? Branded outlets/super markets only keep stuff of their respective brands.
2. A word of recommendations on the models mentioned or any other model/brand suggestion.
3. I play movies either via external HDD or Netflix/Amazon Video. Is it possible that a non-HDR HT setup could be used just to give me audio while I enjoy HDR through the sources mentioned?

Thanks

The Onkyo system you mentioned is garbage. There's no point going dolby atmos with those disposable speakers. The whole point is immersion, and you'll only get that with a good speaker system. Or just save the money and go with 5.1.

Secondly, Netflix doesn't have Dolby Atmos as far as I know. Even if it did, that Samsung TV won't output it. So you'll need a compatible media player that supports Netflix Dolby Atmos. You'll also need a good 30-40mbps connection as well.

Thirdly, you won't find torrents movies that do 4K HDR as well as Dolby Atmos. Your best bet is to buy original blu-rays and a compatible blu-ray player.

HT setup isnt as simple as I thought of it to be. I think it needs a lot more research. I am going to skip Onkyo for now. While I know that there can be no perfect setup for all because it depends on a lot of factors but could you just mention some names when it comes to receivers and speakers that are worth considering? Rest, I will figure out a setup on my own but just some names will be very helpful to start with.

As for blu rays then you are right about torrents. I am planning to get a player. Here I have just 1 question. If I get PAL xbox one s (available in Pak) the will it be able to play Region 2's bluray? I will be getting blurays from UK but not sure if they will play on locally purchased xbox one s.

Thanks!

Yamaha makes very good receivers and they're not very expensive. I just replaced my old Yamaha with a newer one.

For speakers there's an endless list. But I'd look at Klipsch, Monitor Audio, Polk Audio, KEF. They all make great speakers. I personally use Monitor Audio and I love them.

Hello guys,

I need a little help, I want to buy a 32 or 28 inch LED TV.

There are many companies samsung, ecostar, etc, but I'm not sure which one to choose from?

My purpose of use is to watch HD movies, cable channels for long-term.

Brothers, please suggest me a good one that has the best quality and can be use for years.

My budget is 30,000 PKR

Brothers any suggestion?
