Anywhoz I would like to know which game you would like to see the award go to with solid reasons too, please.

FPS : Borderlands 2 or Farcry 3.

Branching storyline in COD BLOPS 2, not open this switch open that switch. Strategy mission in SP. PICK 10 perk system while HALo just copies the CLASS system wholesale from COD. Ask a HALO veteran he will inform you about the details.

Borderlands 2 took hints from B1 and made the game a huge sandbox with amazing characters, an epic Villian, addicting loot system. A perfect blend of RPG not QTE the final boss and drive same warthogs you drove for 10 years.

Farcry 3, created the most believable open ended environment with miles and miles of truly dynamic wildlife and ecosystem which was fun and engrossing. Not the same arena shooter with rehashed maps from older halos.

Well, my best FPS vote was for Far Cry 3 but i guess Halo 4 favored better . In any case, criticism is always there for such type of awards.

Well I should be delighted to see an indie game such as Journey getting many awards, but honestly, truly disappointing choices by the team for the awards.

It's looking like everyone played only a handful of games, used Venn diagram to select the common games and wham, slapped the awards.

@franny so all you did was press switches in the Halo 4? Noice! Shows how much you really took in the game. And you completely missed the Mantis levels, tank levels or the part where you rode in a Pelican because that part is seriously one of the most memorable sequences in the whole game... but wait, you just drove a warthog lol.


Comparing Borderlands 2 with Halo 4 would be moot because both games fared equally well for me and I value them both dearly. Imho it was a tie between both of them. The awards were selected by Team PG as a whole but just for the funsies let's hear what the community's favourite games were this year. Post up your favourite special category awards and GoTY awards and we can tally the votes in the end.
