You don't really need to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy the game though knowing the lore obviously helps understand the references.

It's the same leap as going from 4:3 CRT/TV to a 16:9 widescreen HDTV a better upgrade than a 4K screen. Look for LG they usually have most options in all price ranges.

Played almost 5hours and this game is the biggest surprise this year.
The makers of titanfall are fast becoming my fav dev. The way they pulled off titanfall 2's campaign made it my goty that year.

You can finally turn Cal’s lightsaber red

t’s Star Wars Day and Respawn Entertainment is celebrating by giving Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order a shiny new update. The free update includes new cosmetics, combat challenges in arenas pulled from different areas in the game, and the ability to customize your own combat challenges.
The new cosmetics include a variety of new paint jobs for BD-1, but more importantly, you can finally turn Cal’s lightsaber red. The new color comes with the new Inquisitor uniform outfit as well, and makes Cal look like one of the elite Jedi hunters he spends the game fighting. The update will also let players jump back into the story mode with the New Journey + feature, which lets players use all of their previously unlocked cosmetics (New Journey + will also unlock the red lightsaber and Inquisitor uniform for Cal).


As far as actual gameplay content, the Star Wars day update is adding a variety of combat challenges to Fallen Order in the new Mediation Training mode. You can play through specifically crafted scenarios which pit Cal against waves of enemies, or you can create your own custom scenarios with any combination of enemies you want in the Battle Grid. The Battle Grid will also let players set up custom difficulty modifiers and will have a few unique enemies.
This update is free for everyone who has Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and is out now on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Yeah man Respawn seems to be the only studio for EA that has been consistent with their quality of games. Titanfall 2, Fallen order and even Apex are top notch games. I hope they dont end up like the rest of their studio partners. Bioware with Anthem and Andromeda, Dice with the last 2 BF games have been meh and i dont think i have seen anything from Visceral after that sucky Dead Space 3 & BF hardline. EA is like a curse to all good studious.

platinumed this back in september, real good stuff in the game. though story felt a bit weak the other elements like that dual saber scene when u get it and all that was awesome.

Saw the game updating/upgrading a few hours back on the SX. Got the game via GPU with EA play.

So the upgrades are free then? Even for GPU owners?

Will finally play it, had it on pause because I heard the upgrade will be coming soon.

Yes, it's a free upgrade if you already own the game, or even via GPU or EA Pass whereever the game is right now.

But EA didn't put out any news on what is enhanced. They already put out an enhanced BC patch a few months ago which added a better 60 FPS mode to PS5/SX. This probably increases settings to High/Ultra equivalent PC settings if I were to take a guess.

Heard the PC version stutters when entering a new area (likely shader compilation related) and in other random instances (likely I/O related). Guess that makes the Series X and PS5 versions the ones to play
