]@Chandoo bhai gameplay ki bhi baat kar lo thordi :p

I liked the gunplay, but Leon's movement felt a little off to me. He usually strafes when you move the left stick on the x-axis, but tilt the stick a little to the y-axis, and he begins to make sharp turns unless you're in ADS.

It's a minor gripe, but I'd prefer full tank controls.
Gameplay was essentially RE7 in third person :p

Main baat to platform comparison ki thi right now to see if i need to switch pre orders or not :p

edit: ok just to add. The gun play was surprisingly solid, real responsive controls. Strafing or general movement wasn't an issue, though I kinda felt like Leon's 'run' speed is a bit slow. I guess it's deliberate to make the game feel longer and add tension :p .. running away from Mr. X at that slow ass pace will be real hectic.

Also, an earlier preview I read said that zombies usually stay in the state you leave them in, they take a shit load of bullets to die (sometimes 6 to 8 head shots), so knee shots to incapacitate them is a lot more effective.

Also, if you die in the demo, the game asks if you want to switch to easy mode which lets you auto aim when you're aiming near zombies, it's real easy to get head shots using this (I did this for testing purposes :p )

Or just use the mouse and land accurate shots easily for testing purpose :p

This is part of the reason the gunplay has room for improvement. 6-8 headshots is a bit much and there is no real indication when you've actually killed the zombie. Ammo and health is handed out generously. I hope the final game is harder than this.

Enemies needing a lot of head shots isn't a negative, especially because the controls aren't causing any hindrance. They're incredibly well tailored to the type of game play. 6 to 8 head shots is deliberate, they don't want you to be able to fight every single zombie you see. The demo was pretty much on the easy side, guessing it was running on a lower difficulty since this is the build they had at E3, probably didn't want people to repeatedly die during the limited E3 time they get.

The final game will have selectable difficulties I imagine. Including ink ribbon usage on higher difficulties.

Almost everything a developer will do will be deliberate. Doesn't make it the right choice. But since the controls are good and shot placement matters, headshots need to feel more rewarding. 6-8 headshots makes the gameplay frustrating and landing headshots kind of pointless. They certainly throw enough ammo to engage all enemies and spray without much concern.

Headshots are not pointless, it still takes half the bullets compared to body shots. This is very deliberately targeting the original game, you wouldn't have enough resources to fight all the zombies in the original RE2 either.

I'm all in for this type of game play.

so the gam felt unilke other re in movement etc... kinda felt like an uncharted gameplay with leon and stuff a bit only he cant jump ofcourse but shooting etc was kinda like that ... i kinda cant get the right game in mind but its not unlike other re4 re 5 kinda gameplay here.not that its bad its different

even with headshots the damn zombies are a work toget them down.... my damn knife broke WTH ! i kept using it and it broke lol

i went to the part where i climbed the stairs back and game concluded :( i couldnt even get the time to use the damn shotgun, what was i even saving that for :p

Necrokiller here you go, holding the aim down and waiting for the reticle to get tiny makes the chances of a critical shot increase and takes out zombies in 2, 3 headshots.

You mean you've played the demo for like 4 hours and didn't know that was a thing? lol I already knew that. It still doesn't kill them though. They get back up after a while. Its kind of random.

Critical hit doesn't change that fundamentally enemies are bullet sponges even on headshots. This isn't an RPG with weapon and player stats. 3 shots to the head should do it. Not 3 chance critical hits. Game is pretty easy as is. Only ammo scarcity can make it a bit challenging.

Enemies will only seem like bullet sponges if you go in with the mindset of an action game :p

This isn't an action game, take out their knees and run past them.

Yeah, plenty of ammo and general difficulty was piss easy in the demo which makes me believe this demo was set on an easier difficulty as it was meant for a busy trade show floor. Obv final game will have more selectable difficulty options, so you're always welcome to start in this game's equivalent of Madhouse :p

At the very least a Capcom marketing rep on ERA has already confirmed the final game will not have that many ammo pickups in the same areas and the shotgun is located elsewhere, they had it placed where it is in the demo for demo purposes only.

Ill stick to the developer intended default difficulty for the masses which this demo was set on. Probably "Normal" since you got a prompt for Easy mode upon dying. :p

Ye lo, i thought soulsborne type people enjoyed harder difficulties :p

ek tarf complain bhi karni hai doosri tarf option hai to select bhi nahi karna :p

At the very least ammo won't be that plentiful in the final game we know that much.
CerebralTiger which platform did you try the demo on ? did you try both PS4 and PC ?

Lo bhae, kabhi kehte ho developer intended default experience hona chahiye kabhi kuch...

Difficulty se complaint solve ho nahi sakti... Madhouse pe to 15 headshots maarni parhe gi . Thats not a challenge, its a chore :laugh1:

I killed every zombie in the demo. All my shots were body shots and when zombies went down I shot again twice to confirm. So there is enough ammo in the demo to kill every zombie. Maybe they would change it for the full game.

Original RE2 turned into a shooting gallery in the second half of the game because we find a lot of ammo later on.

In remake 1 it's possible to kill every enemy without using knife and only using limited ammo. Which needs really good resource management skills.

Base consoles do struggle with this a lot.

Nice. As I said earlier in this topic, for anyone who can't or doesn't have the PC to run this, the PS4 Pro version was incredible. Having played them both multiple times over, PC obviously has advantages of being brute forced via stronger hardware, but the PS4 Pro version was very consistent and looks great.

Whats nice about base consoles not hitting their target? Majority console owners have base consoles, not mid gen refreshes.

Even with Pro, people have their entertainment setup with a 4K TV and 1080p is gonna look awful on it if you want 60fps. Sure you have the option to use another display, but that's an added hassle and really drives home the point that even the upgraded consoles work better with 1080p displays.
