Horizon Zero Dawn comes to PC on August 7, via both Steam and Epic Games Store
Formerly a PlayStation 4 exclusive, it’s got all the bells and whistles PC fans look for
Guerrilla Games announced Friday that
Horizon Zero Dawn will be available for the PC on Aug. 7. Titled
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, it will be available on both Valve’s
Steam storefront and the
Epic Games Store for $49.99.
Horizon launched as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2017, quickly racking up numerous nods as one of
the best games of the year. Polygon included it
in the top 10. It tells a unique post-apocalyptic story starring a young woman named Aloy, who must journey across a forbidding landscape and do battle with wild mechanical creatures. The game was a commercial success as well, a rare example of a successful new intellectual property created by a modern AAA development studio.
The PC version of the game comes with a raft of improvements, including dynamic foliage and improved reflections. The final product will include all the bells and whistles that PC players look for, including unlocked framerates, ultra-wide monitor support, and several pages of graphics settings to tinker with. There’s even a proper benchmarking tool.
