He should first play DotA/HoN/LoL to get the idea of the game. Beta invites are already short in number & I want to play with experienced players.

A friend i gave the spare key to loved it though has played over 70 games...i know i just need to power through the initial 5-10 games before i start getting what's going on but just haven't found will so far.

DCMD! It should take you like 1 game to figure things out Most names are same.

& to reduce the input delay somewhat try these commands in console ~

cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 0
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100

You just listed the three things what i do when i start losing a game...oh and rage quit obviously -.-

they had a 1 MILLION USD competition during the beta.....

But Beta keys will NOT be active at release anymore LOL...... everyone who bought a beta key will have to RE-BUY the game hahahaa

No not released yet, its in closed beta atm.

because its already bigger than all those games combined, Dota 1 and its clones make up a player base unrivalled by any other game out there.
