Well it seems like I hit a nerve
- I will explain with regards to the points I think that are being made
Lmao your comment really shows your lack of knowledge about us "Platform Loyalists", I guess you don't know how hard buying legit PC games was in Pakistan before steam and that its more convenient to keep all your games on one launcher.
.
lol..I would say that you are giving my comment less credit than due, think about the point I am trying to make
Also, why wouldnt I know ? I was born and lived nearly all my life till adulthood in Pakistan..Ofcourse I know how difficult it is/was.
Steam vs Epic Launcher isn't even a competition if it was Epic wouldn't need to bribe for Exclusives. Epic launcher doesn't even have cloud saves Lmao such a basic feature how am I supposed to transport my save from my PC to Laptop?
This is super misinformed and you're showing a basic lack of understanding about the platform.
But it's not like the Xbox/PS. Steam is straight up better than epic launcher now ain't it?

A more accurate example of steam vs egs comparison will be comparing the PS4 to Soulja boy console

Okey so the question is not about is steam better or epic game store is better...What I am saying is please do look at the other side of the coin..Naturally Steam has had years to mature the platform and is simply better in terms of features. However, by not supporting Epic in trying to offer competition, we are basically in "apney paon per kulhari marna" situation. You are doing Valve's job for them.
The reason why today you feel that Steam is such an awesome platform - is because they developed features for it - which Epic is trying to match or improve.
For example Epic's roadmap is here :
https://trello.com/b/GXLc34hk/epic-games-store-roadmap - one thing they talked about is how they want to develop and improve on Steam features i.e they talked about a thread based forum structure like reddit rather than how steam forums are now.
I think this polygon article summed up everything pretty well :

In due time and in the longer run, it will result in offering consumers better choice. The reason why game devs are even talking with Epic (since Steam has a huge fanbase) is because giving Valve 30% (
THIRTY PERCENT) for nothing but digital distribution is ludicrous. Competition will force Steam to play ball, which is a win win for both game devs and gamers.
This doesnt mean that I am saying Epic and Steam are a match today, what I am saying is that if people keep ONLY supporting Steam, there is a decent chance that there wont be anyother to offer them competition.
There are points that others have put up but I think regional prices also play a role in people buying stuff on one platform or the other, steam has pretty good regional prices which is apparently absent on epic store, making people from countries with lower economies buy the game at full price which at least I do not like and I am sure there are other people who feel the same. The game had my interest from the beginning and looks pretty good as well (the release/public version), I'll probably wait for it to come out on steam though.
I really hope that Pakistan would receive the benefit soon :

We've just added regional pricing support to @EpicGames for a bunch of countries from Africa, Latin America, and other regions. We currently support regional pricing in over 230 countries.
