Ordering a Media Box from China?

Hi, iam in search for an android media box to connect to my TV, I surveyed Hafeez center and couldnt find anything, my last resort is to buy from one of those online chinese websites with free shipping. I was just wondering if there will be any customs problems while my product is being brought into the country? thanks!

They are available in Pakistan. Two members on PG are also selling it. But if you really wanna buy then research the model and specs well enough on xda forums. As far as I have researched. Imitoo mx1 is good. Now even quad core devices are available. Better to search for daily deals at aliexpress.com or geekbuying.com.
I don't think there will be any customs problems. You can contact the seller at the Chinese sites. They do live chat with you and will tell you about customs clearance. I have seen sellers who claims to clear customs for Pakistan for you.

I have raspberry pi for sale you could make it for mediabox you check on internet about it.

Moreover, if you buying from china , HK . Try fasttech.com, eachbyte.com . They ship free to pakistan although it takes nearly 30 days but shipping is free and good service. Eachbyte also accepts western union and moneygram. But fastech.com is very muture and reliable . Their support is also very nice and reply immediately but problem with them that they accept on paypal.

If anyone has such experience please share also.

yes i know shipping is free, iam just wondering if my package will have any issues when it arrives in customs in karachi port!

The thing is my friend sent me a mobile once through TNT from dubai, and the customs held it for about a month and released it after heavy duty, so iam just worried, dont want to experience that again, i live in lahore as well, so its difficult for me to contact the port authorities.

P.S. the shipping address for the mobile was from a commercial address in dubai to a commercial address in lahore, so you think thats the reason the duty was levied?

My experin with tnt is also same got s3 when it released new nd held at custom end fr 1 month.paid 18000rs duty...

Now i use dhl nd monthly 5 -6 shipmnt i got through dhl never face problem with dhl nd pay very less duties

Well u can order it but keep in mind to ask the vendor to keep the declared value under 50 dollars

Another thing if anyone can help me, I have a canadian Visa Debit which i used to use for online shopping in canada, can the same card be used here as well? or will i be charged any fees?
