NP. Probably they are getting at a higher price from their supplier, 5600 seems ok since i got mine for 5500 for the refill version.

Well if you prefer aqua based scents, then ADG is consider the best and someone recently recommended me Aqva pour homme by Bvlgari and Paco Rabanne's Invictus Aqua, i've only tried the latter one which was quiet good but the price was quiet steep i was quoted 7500!

Thanks. I'm seriously considering getting the metal version of Angel but only if I can find it for around 5k. Tested it at a local store yesterday and they quoted 4600 for the rubber bottle. For some reason Shaheen, whose prices are very good compared to other outlets, quoted me 5600 for a refill version (neither metal nor rubber - plain glass). Wonder why.

This will be my final purchase for quite some time so increasing the budget to about 6k. Would love some recommendations. I don't care about the brand.. The scent should be good. For some reason I can't get Aqva out of my head :( I'll compare it side by side with Bleue Issey and Nautica Voyage on monday.

The guy from The Perfume Co. called me up today (rather unexpectedly). Very pleasant and informative person. I've asked him to quote me some prices. He said he will offer me the best price in the market. Let's see. His stuff is definitely genuine.. All positive reviews. Thinking about A*Men and Aqva.

Replied.

His prices were nice, almost matching Shaheen's (pre-discount). But Shaheen gives me slightly better prices plus I can actually test what I'm buying there.
Have you tried allure sports? Get a 50ml to fit it in your price range but for hot weather I found it the best out there.

I consider these over-priced. Thanks for the suggestion though. I tested several today. Versace Oud Noir, Versace Man, Encre Noir, Aqva Pour Homme, Aqva Amara, CK Reveal.

I initially wanted to test Gucci Pour Homme II but changed my mind after reading a few reviews. It has little to no projection, and while I don't wear scents for other people, a fragrance is pointless if the only way you can smell is when you heat yourself up. I didn't particular like the Oud fragrances.. maybe because I made the mistake of testing them on tissues :D

I ended up buying Aqva Pour Homme and Encre Noir. I really liked Amara.. but the regular one was available in a larger size (rarity!) so I got that instead. It's a 150ml bottle. Lovely packaging for both.

Pictures in a bit.

Nice choice. I found encre noir a bit synthetic smelling. My cousin uses Tom Ford noir which I found is more balanced. Could you provide some comments about Encre after three to four time usage?

Will do. Might take some time though since it's not really suited to this weather.

I've gone completely crazy. I had promised myself that Legend Intense would be the last but I went ahead and bought two more yesterday. I'm already planning buying a couple of cheapies tomorrow - Armaf Tres Nuit (Green Irish Tweed) and Rasasi Al Wisam Day (Silver Mountain Water). Both are very highly rated on fragrantica and basenotes. Some reviewers have said they might even be better than the originals :tv:

You must give Encre Noire another try. Vetiver based. Sharp and can be unpleasing at first. Not your everyday scent. Mostly suited for black tie events. I gradually found it likeable.
It is a very rich smell. And is considered a Niche quality fragrance in the fragrance community despite being a designer fragrance. Good scent for the price.
I find most of the citrus based fragrances synthetic. The citrus note is sharp and piercing which can be a bit irritating to the nose.

Will do when it's winter.

I love aquatic and cirtus scents. Tbh the only thing that nauseated me was Joop Homme. I couldn't stand it.

Anyway, finally found what I was looking for for the past month. It's a cheapie, a clone.. But it's a clone that is just as good as the real deal.

ASKnASK you might want to check out Mont Blanc Individuel. Creed Original Santal is inspired by that fragrance. Personally I find it a bit too sweet, but once it dries down it becomes a very nice appealing scent.

MB Individuel is indeed sweet but not crazy sweet like Eros. Both share the vanilla note. I own both but I prefer Eros more.
Both individuel and Original Santal are said to have been inspired by Joop. But Joop like ASKnASK said is quite nauseating.

Note: I sniffed Joop from the atomizer so I don't know what it dries down to. Opening was bad in my opinion.
Muaaz Can you share with me your performance and longevity of MB individuel.
Mine gives up after 4 -ish hours

I did check it's fragrantica page.. Apparently it resembles Joop. I despise that scent. I'm no perfume snob but I simply couldn't stand it.

I might be purchasing a couple of Rasasi scents today.. Al Wisam and Dareej. I've smelled both and well.. kinda liked them. Thing is I'm not familiar with winter scents, or in other words non-fresh/non-aqua/non-citrus scents :tv: I do like Montblanc Legend Intense though. I'm thinking about getting Angel Men from a PGer. It's opening was way too strong but the drydown was quite nice.

Relative coming from abroad so I've decided to buy one last fragrance (someone stop me).

The 'one last' fragrance is Perry Ellis 360 Red (as an AdG alternative). But I've also decided to get a one-before-last frag too.

Suggest something in the 9-10k PKR range (which will be about 50-60 USD). I had decided on Armani Code (125ml) but then looked at Terre d'Hermes. Help me choose. I've to order within 48 hours.

Terre D Hermes all the way. Make sure you get the EDP version. I have used both and found edp much more toned down and sophisticated.
Secondly it can be worn in all the seasons. No matter cold or hot, it's an all timer. Edp will be 75ml by the way.

I was suggested L'Instant De Guerlain Extreme. Thinking about that now. Will also consider TdH EDP.

Have it as well and its classic. But weather bound, feels good in winter like most of the others. Getting hands on it would also be a treat.

So you're suggesting TdH over it? And I've read the EDT is actually better than the EDP..

I'll inbox you what I have right now so you can suggest something.

EDIT: Your inbox is full so here's the list. I might be missing one or two but still.. these should be enough to give you a clear picture:

 • L'Eau Bleue d'Issey Pour Homme
 • L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme
 • Cool Water Night Dive
 • Burberry Burberry
 • Dunhill Desire (red)
 • Liz Claiborne Curve
 • Hermes Concentre dOrange Verte
 • Nautica Voyage
 • Grey Flannel
 • Montblanc Starwalker
 • Cartier Declaration
 • Montblanc Legend Intense
 • Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme
 • Armaf Tres Nuit
 • Rasasi Al-Wisam
 • Azzaro Chrome Legend
 • Lalique Encre Noire

Now.. suggest away. My top choice right now is the L'Instant De Guerlain Extreme.
