Champions Trophy will be played in Melbourne from December 1-9. Teams Include Australia, Belgium, England, India, Germany, Netherlands Pakistan and, New Zealand


Pakistan finished with a bronze-medal in International Super Series 9s beating India in the 3rd spot match.

I have very little hope from the Green Shirts in the Champions Trophy. Would've given us slight a chance had NZ been in our group. But as things stand right now, even Belgium is hard to beat. lol

We had the lead in match against England, but during the break English Coach discussed Pakistan's tactics while Pakistani officials kept mum.

I don't expect them to win the CT, but still some fight is expected.

Pakistan shoots down Belgium

We had quiet a few chances. This could have been better No attempt was made by Pakistan for a penalty corner, while Belgium had 2 penalty corners.


In last 5 mins Belgium was so desperate they substituted the Goalkeeper with a player. Even he was acting as goalkeeper/defender and Pakistan scored to take unassailable lead.

Tempers started to flare as there was no love lost between the squads. In total, nine cards were issued in the game, including four green, four yellows and a red. Niklas Grell was sent off with 15 minutes left with a double yellow card (red), leaving the Germans shorthanded and down by two goals and ultimately killing any thoughts of a late comeback.

Belgium is ranked 9th while we are 6 or 7th. It isn't really a good victory. It's like defeating Bangladesh. :lol:
