Ponting one of the finest of our times who featured in three worldcup victories for Australia. He will be remembered as one of the best hooker and puller of fast bowling. He has also been a very successful captain who will always look into the eye of the opposition. With his superb technique, variety of shots and the number of runs he piled up,he will surely be missed in the international arena.

I dont even need to post his stats as everyone knows his record. Recently he was awarded with "Order of Australia" which is their highest medal and only the first foreigner to have received this honour. You know how much arrogant and self-centered Aussies are and if they are recognizing someone's achievements, he can't be an ordinary man.

You cant compare these two cricketers as Sachin's career spans over two decades and Kohli has been around for about three years so. Kohli has a bright future but its a long and bumpy road ahead.

Yes you cant compare him with them on the basis of captaincy record as Sachin is not considered to be suitable for this job. But when it comes to individual performances and talent, u can even compare him even with Sir Bradman. People like him, Wasim, Shane Warne, Murali not only shook records but they changed the way this game is meant to be played or watched. Statistics speak for itself and you can't say that a man with huge number of runs over a long period of time just couldnt make it to the top tier of Cricket greats.
