Started watching Mushishi. The anime has some unique beauty to it, liking it so far. BUT it is extremely episodic though.

One of my favourite anime. The artistic effect of environment is very pleasing. Season 2 was also release few months back.

Wow what luck i was thinking of downloading mushishi too... i had heard how great its movie was but never watched it... when i heard its TV series was airing i decided to watch it...

My favorites of this season are Zankyou no Terror, Barakamon and Psycho Pass' Extended Edition. All are just epic!

I don't get why there's psycho-pass extra, it's basically the same anime that came out two years ago but with a few extra scenes. =/

Mushishi.

Well this certainly was a different experience.

Mushishi is a very episodic anime with each episode depicting a case or a problem or something related to the creatures known as Mushi, which are special creatures present everywhere but only a selected few can see them. And a Mushi master, our protagonist, goes in and tries to solve the problems.

I really don't like episodic things but Mushishi somehow managed to make each 20 mins an interesting and beautiful tale, some better than other obviously. That is one hell of a task considering aside from our hero, there really are no recurring characters.

There is a very unique beauty in this anime, regarding nature/life etc, which is more complemented by beautiful art and great soundtrack.

If only it wasn't this much episodic, I most probably would have loved it way more. Still, really enjoyed it.

Ninja Scroll (Movie-1993).

Pretty good anime film having good action with lots of gore and character development. The hero was your typical cool-ish nice guy with great power with the heroin being pretty interesting, it was cool to see how she develops throughout the film.

The story is about a mercenary Ninja hired by a group who gets caught up in the struggle of power between clans, which has some relation to his past. It was okayish.

There were a lot of weird ass ninja's in the film with really weird powers and skills.

Ninja Scroll anime.

Sort of like a sequel to the classic movie of the same name, it didn't had that much gore and nudity etc as compared to the movie but did had a better story.

Action was a mixed bag. Sometimes it was good, while other times it was just meh. This anime had even more weird ass ninja's and powers compared to the movie.

Best thing about the anime for me was the soundtrack, most specifically the main theme, the heroic one. Loved it.

Recommended for those who liked the movie.

Afro Samurai.

An extremely powerful samurai with an afro, hell bent on revenge, accompanied by a companion voiced by Samuel L Jackson himself, what's not to like.

Story is a pretty straight forward revenge tale with some past mistakes and connections thrown in the mix.

Great art style/graphics and often awesome gory/brutal action. Soundtrack is pretty good too, hip hop and whatnot, reminded me of Samurai Champloo.

Samuel L Jackson voice acting was the best, typical nigga style with lots of humor.

no over hyped its great as for my type and yup tokyo ghoul is another one of the best this year anime too waiting for next episode till then have to finish SAO to present

The first half of SAO was great in my opinion. I love gaming and having an anime in a gaming world was awesome to see.
The second half wasn't that great though, a lot of reduction in quality and enjoyment. If they had maintained the stuff and quality from the first half, the overall anime could have been more awesome.

true i agree but they showed more of gng here n there rather than a good action scene which kinda was lame for me , as 1 hit ko reminds me of bleach ending which was so so so so lame

A few more good action scenes would have been nice, I agree.
And yeah, I heard Bleach ending was lame. Will check it out whenever I start bleach.

Currently watching SAO2. Finished SAO1 2 days ago. And I agree with above people, the show had brilliant potential, the first half was really good, then came...that stuff. Seriously, the dude is like 16 (14 in the beginning), should he really be doing that stuff?

SAO2 is alright-ish. The whole SAO series is really just an anime you just 'watch', it's alright but nothing special. Also, 'some characters' should stop being such a wuss. -_- Wasting precious screentime.

I'd prefer Log Horizon, you should check that out if the second half of SAO kinda freaked you.

Barakamon is easily one of the most enjoyable new series right now (for me, at least). Also watching Persona 4 Golden Animation (meh, but watchable since I love P4).

Can't take Tokyo Ghoul seriously because of the deadly resemblance of a certain character to Persona 3's protagonist (P3 MC is one of my faves). -.-
