Not getting Uber and CAreem verification text

This is driving me crazy. I want to use these service but I'm not getting the text. The number is mobilink originally but now converted to ufone. I also have a telenor converted to ufone but on that there were no problems getting the code.

If you have converted the sim. You won't receive it.
You need to give another number which isn't converted.

In Android phone settings, does your phone number actually show or does it say unknown?

Mobilink numbers have issues receiving verification texts sometimes but I haven't had an issue like this before where the text doesn't come at all.

I have a Telenor number ported to Zong and that is perfectly fine, no issues receiving verification texts.

What language is your phone set to?

Unknown. I have another phone which also shows as unknown but it got the text.

Which English, US or UK?

Texts on Mobilink come as Unknown most of the time but they usually contain the content required in the text.

Try changing it to English UK, clear the app data and try again.

I've got mixed experiences with different phones, but the only thing that remained consistent was me having Mobilink.

Tried all this and even changed the sim to another phone but no luck
