noob mom and psp cfw updates?

Hi, I have a psp slim 2000 with the curret firware 5.50 GEN-D (full). I usually just download isoz to my memory card and play those. The question is, do I need to upgrade to Prometheus? Im just a bit worried what if with the new firmware my isoz stop working. And this is the link where I downloaded the Prometheus but havent upgraded it yet (for some reason the link button isnt working). I dont get a lot of time to play with toddler duty, but I like to keep upto date with mt fav games such a MGS, Syphon Filter, God of war etc. Any help and guidance would be appreciated - as I dont want to bust my psp Thanks
