dude you just can't compare it to iPhone damn man... Nokia doesn't have what apple has, and that's better strategy... I mean come on just have a look at how many phones did iPhone release since it's first ever launch that was back in 2007... that counts 3. And compared to iPhone, Nokia just keeps releasing phones after phones like hell... come on... you all know how good 5800 is, but what happened to it, it was launched in Dec 08 - Jan 09... and now in the 3rd quarter of 2009, people don't care about it, why? It's because frequent release of phones with not much difference... like 5800, and after it comes another touch 5530 and now recently another touch announced 5230 with not much difference (not talking about n97) ...not a month passes by and your phone gets old...

Nokia makes fones for EVERY type of budget, they have a lineup of Vertu exclusive fones that cater to the multi-millionaries ... and Nokia caters to those who have acouple of thousand to spend on a fone ... or a bit more .. or a bit more ... just about ANY price range!

Did you even care reading till the end? Nokia does fulfill every god damn man's need, but what I was talking about is the strategy (mainly for N-series and touch phones as well), now you see that 5800 was a good phone, with some unique stuff in a cheaper price, Nokia rather than updating just the UI, they just release a whole new phone with no unique features other than one gets, music edition, one gets navigator edition, one gets internet edition... damn man wth is this? rather then keep releasing a new phone just for the sake of giving an update to interface is damn sily... well there might be minor changes in CPU and memory but do we really need frequent changes in these stuff? Can we actually afford changing whole god damn new phone just to get an widget update to the interface... can't they just give a firmware update for UI related stuff as well? Think the way I see things.
It doesnt need UI upgrades because usually its UI doesnt lack basic functions like the iPhone.
This is how the mobile industry works and always has ... new models. And all these three are in different price ranges. The nokia touch screens you talk about.
More models ... more variety. You buy whichever suits your need

Guys chill out it's something similar to what we see in the Graphics card market which means more competitive prices and in the end a win for the user.Not many phones stay at the same price for a long time...
Guyz...this is the deal with technology...they wnt give u everything in one go...whose gonna upgrade or buy stuff if u can spend all and get the best...for once...whether it is newer phone or faster processor ... there will be something new always every other day...they dnt care if it is minor tweaks or major changes ...u just have to keep upgrading...
So you mean it's fair enough to take money from customers for a minor upgrade which can be easily fixed via firmware upgrade? Well, if it really is about money, so why don't they provide purchaseable upgrades... I mean charge a small anount of money like about 5-10 $ and give us a god damn update rather than launching a new phone. Apple does give firmware upgrades small or big and that too all FREE.

whereas sony ericson(satio) n samsung(pixon12) already have there12 mp cameras out!!
Nokia still has no AMOLED displays except for the n85,n86...whereas samsung has it on every other handset!(omniaHD,Omniapro,samsung jet,samsung blade,samsung corby, omnia 2,pixon12.......many more!!!
Nokia still does not have a processor more than 600 Mhz....where as samsung has 800 mhz!!!(some phones mentioned above)
nokia got its first touchscreen phone in nov 2008 (5800)....n after 5800....... they completely lost it!!!!
no mobile of nokia came without a touchscreen since then...ie n97 ,n900, X6, X3 ,5530, 5230...all touch!!!
well the main point wz how late they introduced touchscreen!!!..perhaps theyr compensating for no touchscreen before..!!

i think that is what Nokia is trying to do. I dnt think SE can live up to nokia now but Samsung is making a point in the industry...but right now i m luving N900 and the new X-series!!!!

Now that really sucks cmon Nokia ur still making phones with those outdated tiny 5mp cameras and still same old lcds look at samsung's i8910 aka omnia HD with OMLED screen and 8MP camera on top of all it has HD video recording as well playing capability upto 720p and on the other hand Sony Ericsson upcoming Satio with 12MP is surely imperssive. Sony Ericsson always introduces highest MP in its phones then anyothers just like k800i(3.2MP) then k850i(5MP) again c905(8MP) and now Satio(12MP) so i think Nokia should follow others if they put 8MP camera and OMLED screen i'll definately buy one of these hence i already have n97 and omnia HD.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
