Nokia 5800's problems or another phone?

Hello guys , i m a new user here and want your serious help.

I wanted to buy a 5800xp and i really love to have that phone. But now i am scared to buy that phone, after seeing a lot of problems with it. Well it can be repaired and i can claim warranty, but still.
Some say that most of the bugs are dealt with in the new firmware.

Now i want to ask you guys that

Should i buy a Nokia 5800 and fight with the problems or should i go with the nokia n79 or the n82.

Now another question, If u want me to go with Nseries, then which one.

I need a good camera, The n82 is better. I want 3g and gps too. Not sure if n82 has it. And i also want the fm transmittor.

So now can u guys tell me the answer.

If its no 5800, then kindly tell me the pros and cons of d other 2 so that i shal choose a good one.

5800 was a nice mobile.I didnt have any firmware issue at all.
But i sold it after using a month and bought n96.I will prefer you to go for n96.

The only downside on this phone is the camera.Apart from that it's the best phone you could get in that range.As far as the bugs are concerned,the latest firmware has solved most of the issues and i think since you're going for the n-series and all you've been a symbian user for sometime now i.e if that's true then this is the best upgrade one can get since it has the same 9.4 symbian version as the n97 which only has a addition of widgets.This phone has been by far the best i've used uptil now,the touch isn't as good as the iphone but the experience is sweet nonetheless so just don't hesitate and get it and update the firmware(it doesn't void warranty).

p.s the others you've mentioned are running on 9.3 version of the symbian OS.But IMO they aren't somewhat of a big difference from other 9.3 phones like the original n95 which was released a long time ago.

No it's not...compare their specs you'd find a lot of interesting things.

@sharyq, no bro. I have seen d fone, its just a normal touch screen like d prada. But not even close to d 5800 and u are saying better. Anyways majawar didnt tell me why he sold his 5800.

And ya guys, i tought a lot on it, and found out that the 5800 has jus d sexiness and touch screen, other than that the nokia n79 is much much better camera wise and many other features are included. And also its an n series so its tough too.
I m thinking of going with that although its expensive. Wat u guys think

N79 has a very congested key pad. It is not at all good for text messaging.

Well I have been interested in the Nokia N97 for quite some time now, and have read a lot of its reviews .... In nearly all its reviews, a comparison to the 5800 is done, in which they say how 'the 5800 had a lot of bug and problems with it and how the N97 has resolved those issues' ... this leads me to believe that the 5800 may at least still have some problems with it ..

regarding the Samsung Star, well I bought it for someone I know just yesterday, and I tried it out first though .... the mobile is quite good, especially for its price (Rs. 15,500) .. it has all the necessary things in it and the touch is pretty good too ... its not like the iPhone's, but still very good ... you may encounter a few problems when sliding up and down menus and contacts lists, but everything else in the touch is fine, including typing messages ...

I would say you try out both the phones first, and see which one you like more, and then buy that .. :wink2:

Well guys today i went to a mobilel market, and there i used a 2nd hand Samsung s8300 ultra touch, and that was awesome. I felt in LOVE with it. I m not gona buy any mobile now, wait for it to come down a bit, pricely. And then buy it. wat u think, 8mp was awesome.
