I have it and it doesn't autofocus on my D3100

The image quality isn't that great either, but what can you expect from a cheap lens

hmm let me tag him
@FaridAhmed
@Pleasant produces nice results, it also has built in focus motor too. renders nice bokeh, will also produce nice results in low light if one knows how to utilize potential

you might have seen my samples on flicker. Adding some here

my primary use is with d5300 body, it is without the AA filter so results are sharp straight from camera but i have also tried it on d5100 and its fine too
which body are you using?

i had no idea about its price :O

khair in price for 55-200 i dont think there is any other better telephoto option
Yeah seems like i am left with this one as 70-300mm isnt that good according to hotgamerft experience and i believe it will be hard to work without AUTOFOCUS on telephoto though i am using 50mm with manual focus and not having problem using that so i have no idea how 55-200mm or 70-300mm will go about in manual focus with handheld

So what option do i have in cheaper category to go with telephoto
You can get the VR1 version of 55-200 for 12k max. VrII is slightly more expensive. It's made to work on DX cameras only but has fast AF and decent sharpness. Keep in mind that all G lenses do not have AF motor. G simple means gelded, that is, the aperture ring is absent and the aperture can be controlled electronically. Af-S lenses have servo motors, AF lenses don't. So a lens can be G and at the same time it may not have a motor in it. Sigma 70-300 is also decent enough and it comes with an AF motor. It's sharper than tamron's 70-300. But nikon focuses faster than sigma and tamron.

Shooting 50 you probably would have still objects. Shooting telephoto on 200-300 a little jerk will mean a lot of moment in view finder. Do keep that in mind

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
