New Pakistan gamers guild

Hi,

There has been some discussion about getting together in WoW so I thought I might create a new topic to form a guild. I feel a separate and fresh topic would do better to avoid any confusion as to what I am trying to achieve and what needs to be done.

So, What I am trying to achieve:

To create a guild populated with people one can trust, who are committed and eventually get to know each other in real life while having a blast playing World of Warcraft. I do not intend for the guild to be populated soley with Pakistanis, instead, the goal is to have some real life friends play wow together.

The Ultimate goal is to have a thriving guild, with it's own website, forum and statistics (member statistics, plus acheivement and raiding accomplishments).

What needs to be done:

1- Choose a side (Horde or Alliance).
2- Choose a Server (US or Oceanic, PVP, RP, or Normal).
3- Decide a name for the guild (personally, I like Legends of Lore)

Now this involves, starting anew but hey! I've always found starting fresh with a new character in RPG's to loads of fun (plus its easier to level to 60 now with all the addons out there (Carbonite, Questhelper etc).

I am putting pols up to decide on the above choices. Here's hoping this goes some where!

Some progress...

Cool, i see some people have already put in some votes but we're a long ways away.

From some of the comments it seems Oceanic realms have better timings but lets not forget latency. Has anybody checked or played in an Oceanic realm from Pakistan? if yes, how was the latency?

We still need more players and I dont know how many active WoW players are in this forum. You guys know of other similar forum sites where I could attract more people to my cause?

And, what of the guild name? Im still with Legends of Lore. Give you're suggestions and once we have a few decent names, we can poll for the one we pick.

ok played in both US and Oceanic...and I found Oceanic to be slightly better...

Just Oceanic realm timings would b much better as they are only 4-5 hrs ahead..
just my 2 cents...

'Immortal Gods'...?

Any estimated time/date whn we can start with this new guild?

Well technically we can start as soon as we have chosen a realm and a guild name. SO far from the polls, it seems we will be going with Oceanic, and Horde (PVP,Normal,RP still undecided) but not that many people have voted.

I was hoping for alot more active WoW players in this forum to respond. If you guys know of another site where plenty of Pakistani players are active, then I can also post there. The more the merrier!

too bad you cant switch to EU, i have four 80's, one 71, one 72 and one 61 on my old a/c, and a lot of pakistani friends on the same realm.

If you need any help with mechanics, stats and stuff on any class lemme know, id like to help out if possible.

Legion (well legion of somethin or just legion by itself)

the sooner we get all this sorted the better so ppl dnt lose interest...besides I wana get to 80 real quick and it will be a drag startin from scratch :S

Which is the most heavily populated Horde PvP server on Oceanic?

Guild is starting

From the polls, the realm will be Normal, Server in Oceanic, and Horde.

I am choosing the Normal realm Saurfang as it is relatively new and we can etch a name for our guild and reach the top faster. Being experienced WoW players, it shouldnt be too dificult.

I have already rolled two characters in Saurfang. A Bloodlef Pladin (Tyfurion) and a Undead Priest (Marathis).

Unless you people want another Normal realm, let me know. I playing with Tyfurion at the momment (might switch to Marathis). Add me and let's get going.

can just get started alrdy...just hurry up and decide (half sayin normal & half pvp)..just finalize the whole thing by monday morning and lets get this show on the road..

dnt wana start a new toon and then half way find out oh its not pvp or oh its not normal realm...

Jumping and killing a low level player is a despicable and un-honorable act, even for the horde.

I personally prefer Normal realm, where u can still PvP if you WANT to and dont have to if you're in the mood for PVE. Basically you get both pieces of the pie.

To kill time im currently leveling my Undead Priest Marathis in Saurfang (Oceanic), here's hoping it's a normal server by Monday!

For those of you who cannot wait, Ive already created the Guild Legends of Lore in Saurfang. You can all join in.

However, if you want another realm, there is also Nagrand where I have a lvl 72 Pally (the advantage being he can help level u guys but thats no fun for me).
