I was sitting in the lounge yesterday when a song from NESCAFÉ Basement came up on TV. It sounded really good and caught my attention. The song was 'Sweet Nothing' originally performed by Calvin Harris. The cover in this show is performed by Sameen Qasim. I was shocked to find out that the original one is a House track because the cover is made into a beautiful, mellow version of the same track. This is one of those rare times I found a cover better than an original. By the time the song ended, I found myself browsing the website and listening to all of the songs that came out so far this season. Little did I know that the orchestra had done some really great songs. I confess that I don't follow our Pakistani music scene and I have listened to only a handful songs from the Coke Studio series. Anyways, for those of you who haven't already checked out this show, please do. It's really good. Without further delay, here are details about the show

From classical to pop to rock music, these guys have successfully managed to pull off great performances. They have developed their distinct style by combining the classic folk music with modern pop, and I think it worked out just fine. Do check this show out, it deserves a watch.
