[SOLVED] Need Urgent Help!!!!!! Formatting a USB Drive from RAW to NTFS File system? (Will pay a sum of Rs500/- )

I had an accident today and now my usb drive partition is set to RAW from NTFS. I need help as it had my thesis dissertation and i tried everything but nothing worked so i need help please. I will pay the person 500/- who changes the partition to NTFS again it is possible with Linux as this video says so

there are good softwares to recover it like get data back for fat and ntfs....
and if that doesnt work then use file scavanger....
its also a very good tool.....
should be able to get most of ur data back...!!!

But is the USB gone or can it be saved? I lost the purchase receipt and packing cover of the usb is there any way i can claim warranty. Its a Kingstion 64GB one

Use disk genius aka partion guru. Recovered my data many times from broken partitions using this software

Focus on recovering data instead of creating a partition. Use any software like Recuva or Easy Recovery Pro etc.

RAW filesystem does not mean that the USB is physically damaged. It will start working as soon as you format it BUT you will lose all data. Instructions to recover data here: http://www.easeus.com/resource/raw-file-system-to-ntfs.htm

PS, keep at least 3 backups of important files. One/two backups on the cloud and another one or two backups on physicals disks (External Hard drives, Internal hard drives of different computers)

As long as new data has not been written on to the USB drive, there is still chance of recovering the contents of the drive. Use Recuva or getdata back for this purpose.

I used EaseUS 10.8 (Cracked) took 1 hour to recover a 700kb file [MENTION=1311]Majawar[/MENTION] [MENTION=126335]Aionism[/MENTION] [MENTION=9503]mave3[/MENTION] [MENTION=20871]Radz[/MENTION] [MENTION=8060]abobobilly[/MENTION] [MENTION=25535]frazgta[/MENTION] [MENTION=26483]JKhan[/MENTION]

But still when i try to format from RAW to NTFS it says "Usb is write protected". Is the usb dead?

Tell me the exact model number and manufacturer of the USB.

Good to hear. So will the money distribute among us or each will get separate reward :)

For formatting of USB try any third party Format software. They always work good.

A word of caution, avoid using cracked softwares, especially partition softwares. They're known to contain backdoor trojans that inject malicious code in boot partitions, infecting entire hard drives without the user even knowing it. I believe easeus partition comes with a free recovery software. Use it for your purpose. As for formatting RAW, I believe easeus should do the trick, otherwise try to format in Linux (if possible).

Either way, it seems this USB's days are numbered. Better get yourself a new one.

So guys i got the data back, and successfully formated the usb(A friend formatted it) but after formating i cant copy any kind of file/audio/video. I had GoodLuck today and i found the receipt and usb packing and sent it for warranty claim. Figures crossed :)
