Need Help ...............

My HDD has crashed. Need to buy new one.
Any advise when should i go for a new one?? or should i wait for prices to come down
as currently the prices are high

well if you can wait, possible that it might come down. but again if you cant, than they is no option.
so what wrong with your HDD..
is it showing in the Bios? and is the warranty ended? which brand.

Try to get a used one from the PG Marketplace and from a recommended buyer.

Grab W.D 320gb from Known pg member and useit till the prices of new hdd come down.....

not a good time time to buy new HDD as the current prices are sky rocketing... get a used one for the time being(if u can wait) and when prices drop get new one...
Hopefully, prices will fall in 2-3 months

Bro i went to Pakistan Office Product head office today for my USB warranty claim i asked them when the prices will come down but they were not sure it might take more than 2 months

The only time these shop people would really consider it is only if it dies on you. That's the only way, they don't care or understand about the software side of things

hmmm that is every low and you right they will not bother to get it changed unless it stop working. but if it get electrical shock or something like that than they dont.

why not take this report and also make excuse that you lost previous data becuase of its crashed and stuff like that and you need it to be changed as, you dont want to lose more.

the hate part about these companies Wd, seagate, samsung, dell and others is that they are not really offiically here. only distributor or resellers. As you can see from there websites. And mostly when ask them about new stuff they dont have no clue.
