Need Help with Pantech Vega R3 IM-A850L

Assalam-o-alikum.
Fellow pakgamers i need your help with this phone that i bought recently, I bought a vega im-a850l and have been using it for a while now its been working fine except the soft keys/naviagtion keys stops responding when set at the bottom of the screen. Like in the screenshot below:

I though of it as some hardware fault and ignored it until recently i used another persons Vega R3 that had the same problem when i looked into the phone info in setting i saw both of our phone appeared as IM-870. i was wondering as a870 actally has a 5 inches screen and A850 has a 5.3 inches screen could this problem be actually due to software?

So if possible i would love to fix it, but the thing is i have no knowledge of rooting, flashing or installing of custom roms and firmwares. there is a guide available here on PG but i need some detailed guidance. if someone has experience in flashing Pantech cell phones kindly help me. if someone offers this as a paid service ill be more than happy to avail it.

It shows 870 because most of the custom ROMs for 850 have been ported from 870. I don't think this is a software problem, and if it is, it should go away with other roms. The touch self test does not appear to be very promising though

I'd suggest flashing original .binx to obtain a clean slate and then go on to installing the rom as you please.

If there is no problem in factory firmware then you have a botched rom. If response is same with factory firmware then you have a partially damaged touch.

Do a Google search for 'cellrabta'. The guy on that blog has detailed instructions on how to flash original factory firmware ie binx and root, recovery, custom roms etc.

the patch does the same like floating touch keys

but it doesnt fix the last line of touch like u have.

so no luck for you

yes, i think you have touch screen hardware issue.. i know the shops in rawalpindi and lahore but not karachi... so if u are in one of the two cities, i can guide you...

i dont think its a hardware problem as its showing A870 as model and the screen size of A870 is 5" while A850 is 5.3" so the reamianing .3" screen area is not working check out by porting orignal ROM of A850 it may solve the problem

Bro it was available on hall road. There is a shop jo aik gali mai hai jahan se vega phones ki sab accessories waghaira milti hain. Go to hall road and ask about the shop jahan se ye sab kuch milta hai you can get it there. I checked them few months back. Good luck
