Need Help for Optional Media Update, RGH 4GB, 16537 Dash

Hey, hope you all are enjoying eid. I have been trying to play some video files on my xbox (4GB, corona, RGH, current dash 16537) through usb (no internal HDD in my console) but I get error, informing to connect to live and get media update. Now with a rgh console I cannot connect to live, is there any work around for it? I have done some searching on internet but so far I have not been able to get satisfactory answers. Awaiting for some positive answers

you need to get xmplayer, search google for that and then boot into xell for it to run

In xell I don't get video output, something to do with Corona motherboards and xell incompatibility. One more thing, I don't use dash launch and don't intend to either. Bringing this up because I came across xmplayer but it the link said to use it with dash launch. Is there any way to launch a player through xexmenu? Like a run time exe in windows or something simpler? Currently I use my FSD this way, I launch it though xexmenu manually.

I don't know any other way
and I don't think there is any other way rather than booting it up from xell or dashlaunch.
I searched and tried to run it from xex myself when I first got into this but no results
