NEED HELP! Dont know what to do... PTCL

Okay so i'm gonna try my best to explain the situation.

After 2 weeks of looking for internet providers in my area (Gulistan e Jauhar Karachi), I didnt have many options. No fibre here, so basically only ptcl.

So 2 months ago i applied to get a new ptcl connection. When they got back to me they said theres no "feasibility" for a new connection in your area (basically
they have a limited number of connections in one area and they would get back to me once place would be available).

I tried again the next month but still same reply. A few days after that tho i got a call from the personal mobile number of a PTCL employee.
I asked his name he said he was Kamran from Marketing department. Also told me his room no. in the ptcl office. He said he would get me my connection.
When i asked about the feasibility problem he said it depends on case to case, if someone really needs internet then we get more capacity in that area and
give the connection to whoever needs it. I said okay do it. He asked for a different NIC number than the one i orignally applied with because the process
would be faster. Once i gave him another NIC, 2 days later i got the same message about "feasibility".

A few days later i get a call from his phone but this time its Asim from the sales department telling me to make the payment for installation first then it'll be
easier to get the connection. He insisted he was waiting for me (this was around 5-6pm when the office was closing, other employees were still there tho).
Now this was probably pretty stupid of me, but ireally wanted the connection as I game and Qubee has the worst ping ever, I went and paid him 3000rs. and told him to
give me a receipt. He wrote a form for new connections with all the info NIC, phone number etc. Signed it as well. Said it would be done the next day. That was last Thursday. I went to him on Monday he said there's a problem with your box which gives internet in your area and theyve gone to the warehouse to get the stock to fix it. He said dont worry i went to the managers (he mentioned ABP or something like that), he said im pressurising them that look theyve given payment they need their internet. He said give me 2 or 3 days it'll be done. Acted very politely.

Yesterday it had been 3 days.I phoned 0800 8 0800 and the guy said the same "feasibility" problem. I said i already paid installation charges he said go back to em and get a refund. Also gave me an email address: [email protected] i think. Told me to send them a picture of the receipt.

So my question is what should i do? Is it just cuz its ramadan and theyre being lazy orare they screwing with me? I kinda dont really know what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think you got scammed
find the guy and thrash him into giving your money back
also go to the consumer court. friend filed a complain against ptcl services at the consumer court. Got 6 months free internet from ptcl :)

Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to mention that to them next time I talk to em. They've given me till Wednesday I'm gonna wait till then after that I'll demand a refund
