Need a little buying advice !

OK ! So these days are critical for me as I am gonna buy a new rig !

First of all will a 500 Watt PSU (CM) be enough to power a 9600 GT ?


Second which GPU does the Nforce 630i come along with ?


Lastly will 9600GT be able to run the latest games like GTA4 , NFS UnderCover ?

Finally this is the rig I decided to biuld :

spend Rs. 500 more and get XFX 8800GT for Rs. 12,000 the best for the price tag atm.

and screw the XFX board ..

get P5K-VM..

dont buy this go with what thyhamerr is recomending either ways your processor will be a bottleneck for either gfx cards so unless ur overclocking even the best gfx card at 1*** resolutions will not perform what u want it to..carry that 2180 right onto 3.2 and then enjoy!

If you r buying a xfx card then go for the xfx nforce motherboard the compatibility will b great and as u asked the nforce 630i comes with geforce 7100... Nforce will be fine and will suite ur rig it works great with 9600gt.

Yes, get 8800 gt for 12k...processor is fine but go for Asus P5K-VM (as already suggested) instead of 630i....get a better harddisk with 8-16 mb cache, if not available in seagate, go with Western Digital.....get Samsun DVD RW instead of combo for just 350 rs more....rest is fine.....

There is no difference in using xfx gpu on xfx mobo or some other mobo, I am using XFX 9600 gt on Asus P5K-VM and performance is superb.....

whenever u comeback here's my vision on ur specs wid a couple of adjustments .

intel dual core is fine 6000
p5kvm asus 6300
go with ati his 4670 or xfx 9600gso to save some bucks and to upgrade ur sys perfectly
these gpu's are enough for ur gaming needs. 8300 or 8700
seagate 320gb sata2 16mb cache or seagate 250gb sata2 depends how many games
ur gonna install and how much space u gonna need. 4500 or 5400
any dvdrom supporting duals layers and writing tech ur call. 2000
cm 460watts psu is ok wid the above gpus and wid 9600gt buy 500watts only if u gonna
upgrade in future . 3200 or 3900 our supervisor asknask has a 3.0ghz c2d and a 4850gpu
and is running on a cm460watts i guess so 460watts is enough for power stabality .
casing go with asus ta89 . 3200
u wil have i think 2 to 3 or 4 casing fan slots its up to u how many ur gonna install
500 for that
xms2 corsair 1gbx2 800mhz 1500+1500=3000


total=37500
urz=33500
the difference is only 4 k'z these specs will be enough for ur gaming needs and else .

Asus p5k-VM is a mad mad OVerclocker and in budget its the best board available i myself use this mobo and havent got any problem from the purchase date overclocked my rig as well on stock cooling.

Its par on performance comparing with the buck spent on it.
