AA guys
Before reading this post please watch this video and observe the beastly result of amd cards compared to the nvidia overpriced craps: GeForce GTX 760 1080p Performance Review - YouTube
So as you can see that amd just beats the cards of nvidia in term of price to performance ratio. So my question is, as I know that club3d 7950 royalking is beastly overclockable, if I overclock it to the same as the guy in the video, will I get the same performance with the latest drivers or not?
I am confused and scared that if I buy this and not get the good performance as this will be my first video card purchase.

Best Regards

Okay, I got a few things on board here:
Firstly, yes, Nvidia is pricey (just like Apple products) but you get what you pay for. However it only applies to cards belonging in higher tiers such as GTX 770/780/Titan. If you want Price/Performance card definitely go with AMD, nothing can beat 'em. A 7950 is better than a GTX 760 for sure! The down side of AMD is that their drivers are pretty buggy. HOWEVER, if you want pure performance and want to turn up every single bit of the graphical setting available in modern games today than nvidia is what you are looking for.

Couple of Things for you to understand
1) Reviewers always get best piece of any card, so they overclock efficiently(low voltage ,higher clocks) also they have much more overclock headroom.
2) Its highly unlikely you will match those clocks and run stable
3) The performance of different games also depend on CPU. I can't watch that video(Thank you PTCL:fp1:) but I doubt he is running anything less than an i7
4) You don't know the CCC settings he has.
So no you won't be getting those frame rates. But it should still be pretty close provided you don't have cpu bottleneck.

With apple, you dont get what you pay for, so nvidia is far better then sheetteee apple.

Also, dude.
Why you question about a CLUB3D 7950?
that is an awesome GPU.
if you want to save some cash.
Go for that,
If you have the money go for nvidia.

But, i'd recommend that club3d 7950.

base core clock of 7950 was about 800MHz.
Now thw boost Edition has 925Mhz.
Ans almost every 7950 reaches 1150 on core. This is pretty standard overclock . Beyond that its your luck and temperature modulation...

I totally agree with you guys that nvidia is far better than Apple but in Pakistan..... Just look at the jagha tax of government and shop keepers, the gtx 760 is 25k internationally and 10k more is too much. Lewis Therin
I have read so many reviews on other sites not just youtube and local guys as well and of those who actually purchased it and they have absolutely no problem overclocking it to 1200mhz. Also many other videos and benchmarks prove that going from a 4670k to a 3960x does not effect gaming at all.

Actually its hard to read emotions through written words so please remember that I meant no offence.

Actually my point was that we don't know what processor you have so we can't know about any bottlenecks(if any)
1200 is usually doable , 1250 on the other hand is not that common.
Also every chip is different, you don't know what kind of vcore your card would require to get that 1200Mhz and IMO the temperature + power consumption increase doesn't justify the performance increment .

Anyway as I said previously if you have good processor , you will get frame rates near enough to of those mentioned in the review when you overclock (y)
