Hey guys this thread is on behalf on my friend he wants to buy a rig which would let him play the latest titles with playable frame rates and low to medium settings. So any ways here are the specs of what he is about to buy:-
Processor: Intel E5700 3.0Ghz LGA775
Motherboard: Asus P5G41 TMLX
Ram : Corsair Value select 2GBx2=4GB
Gpu:Nvidia GT 520 1GB DDR3 or AMD Radeon 6450 1GB DDR3

So guy please help me out and please tell me whether there is any new gpu available in the same range and whether he will be able to play games at playable FPS and setting at 1024x768 resolution and also will the processor worth over clocking or will it be okay at stock????

This wont cut it at all. It will play Left 4 Dead (old game) at 'ultra' low, that too with bad FPS.

Edit: RAM and Motherboard are fine. Everything else, not.

My advice, first, get only 2gB RAM. One RAM only.

That's WAY better. I am assuming you have limited budget (no brainer :p), so that is why one RAM only.

Get one RAM only. Even though DDR3 RAMs are much cheaper compared to DDR2, but still get only one 2gB stick.

Spend rest of the money getting a better GPU. At least stretch your budget till 6000Rs. for the GPU. A used GTS 250 will be good.

GPU counts more than anything.

Edit: External power?. You mean 6-pin?. Try GT 240 and GT 440 or new GT 630. They fit your needs but price is the issue.

So a total budget of 23k?

Pentium G620 ~6K Rs
Intel DH61WW ~5.7k Rs
Kingston 4GB Value Ram ~2.1k Rs
Total ~ 13.7k Rs

Now this leaves u with 10k Rs for PSU/Casing/GPU considering u dont need a HDD
Get a hold of Delta460W PSU from PG marketplace will cost ~1500-2000Rs and a Cheap China case

For GPU look for HD5770 in 7k Rs or HD4850/GTS250 in 6k Rs

you won't find a better setup than this one. although finding 5770 in 7k would be near impossible. 5750 or gts 450 may be but not 5770
