Asalam-u-Alaikum Guys
I have a Asus ROG Gladius mouse, bought it about 6 months ago. After exactly 6 months,I unplugged the mouse, used the laptop with touchpad, plugged it back after 3 hours, and it started to act weird, i.e I had to drag the mouse 4-5 times to go from one end of the screen to the other end. Also the I had to press the mouse button for 2-3 sec to register a click on the system about 1000ms-2000ms delay. Now after trying different PC same error, It now gives me an error USB Device failed to recognized, and then the mouse disconnects No power. On pressing the buttons with a good bit strength the mouse lights up i.e Powers on but USB device still failed to recognize.

So is my mouse ded ? >_>
If not, Is it repairable ?
Are there any Places in ISB/RWP where I can go to try to fix it ?

Any help and guidance will be Appreciated.

JazakAllah :)

Lol, looks like the windows driver for your touchpad overrode your mouse drivers.
Just remove all the mouse drivers or disable them.
Connect your mouse and windows will install it for you.

Or do it from the ASUS website. :)

You need a fresh installation of drivers for your mouse. Completely remove any previously installed drivers and download and install latest drivers for ROG Gladius. This should fix your problem.

I tried that, but the problem is I didn't see any specific drivers for the this mouse, the Drivers of mouse I did see in the Device Manager I uninstalled them

1. I downloaded the frimware update, but it does not work, as it does not recognize the mouse as Asus Rog Compatible device(probably because it is not detecting the mouse)
2. I have tried connecting this mouse on two different PCs on which I connected it for the first time, and still the same error.
3. I have noticed that mouse gets Hot abit if I let it be connected with the usb port.

If it gets hot, then that is quite an abnormal issue.
Do you have warranty?
I'd suggest claiming that.

Sadly, I bought it from Amir traders(former galaxy.pk), When i asked them about them warranty they gave me 3 days checking warranty. and no Asus warranty card inside the box... :secret:

Therefore, do you know good repair/electronics shop here in ISB/RWP?

Unfortunately no.
But any local PC repair shop might be able to take a look at it and tell you off the problem.
