Microsoft allowed to ban Xbox 360 consoles which have fan modifications

According to one source, it is perfectly fine for Microsoft to ban you if you have a fan mod on your Xbox 360. A user of '360patches' was reportedly told directly from MS reps that his fan modification on the Xbox 360 is in violation of the terms of agreement so therefore MS can legally ban users from live for that very reason. His 12v fan mod wouldn't too hard to detect as voltage metering is something which should be easily detectable though bios settings.

hmm as i see it they do have a benefit, so if somone doesn't do a 12v mod their 360 can and would eventually get a 3RLOD, then the guy would have to buy another 360...

ergh, stop trying to split tiny hair people, this is a non issue. The article says they CAN ban you if they want, but they won't because a butt load of 360 owners are using external fans to save their consoles from the heating issues.
